Cubia was looking around as he walked, noticing the slight differences in the town design, nothing much big. It was normal after server updates. He was a little distracted and didn’t notice the PC until they bumped.
“It’s okay. Sorry.”, he replied.
“No, no, don’t apologise. It was our fault,” Mimika answered, in a different voice from before, the voice of the youngest, Misaki. Yet another voice continued, “Come on, he doesn't care, right? It’s done. Let’s move on.” Mirei wasn't a patient person, and wasn't used to them waiting around like this. “Okay,” Miruko, the first voice, answered. Misaki ignored them both and Mimika stood her ground.
“Are you okay?” she asked. “You seem distracted. We didn't notice you because we were looking the other way, but you didn't see us and you were walking right by.”

The boy steps out of his room, yawning. Just another pre-programmed action that was almost instinctive for him.
“It has been a while.”, he says, looking around the chaotic town that was his home. The few people in his contact list seemed all offline.
‘I guess I will just look around to see if I find anything new or interesting’, he thought.
Mimika entered the Root Town for quick trip to the shops for supplies. None of the girls had ever spent much time in the towns, but they had to go occasionally so they wouldn't run out of items. She found her way to a shop and bought some scrolls and items for recovery, and turned around quickly to run back to the gate. As she turned, however, she bumped into another player.
“Oh,” she said, startled. “Guess I should watch where I’m going. Sorry about that.”

“Excuse me, could I ask your name?” Shino asked as she approached the female. She seemed to be very strong which had indeed caught Shino’s interest to say the least. Not to mention she had not seen her around before which was a surprise considering how many people she knew within The World.
Mimika stopped walking and turned toward the approaching PC. She looked at the PC with a confused expression for a few moments. Most players seemed to keep to themselves and their guilds or parties. Mimika was rarely approached unless they were helping someone in a dungeon. “Mimika. Why do you ask?” she answered cautiously, and another voice jumped in, “Wait, we’re supposed to ask for her name first before we ask more questions, right? First, what’s your name, and then why do you want to know?”
Actually it was supposed to be creepy.
ooc:// anon, pls do not purposefully be creepy w me. i am neuroatypical, i am mentally ill, and i am an abuse survivor. reading that yesterday, i was rly scared until i understood it was directed at mimika and why. and i mean i was rly scared. im sorry that i cant laugh things off like other ppl, and that things affect me so much, but you cant come to me with creepy “jokes.” i cannot take things lightly.
Can I touch your spear it looks so long
“Only if you’re wanting to be stabbed by it,” Mimika replied, but a different voice continued, “What a weird question.”

Mimika’s Return
Mirei had had a job interview. She had needed to take a train at 1:00pm to make her appointment at 2:00. Miruko’s mother was in poor health, she took the train every day to visit and take care of her mother. Misaki had fallen asleep on her train home from work, and missed her stop. She had taken the train to backtrack towards her home. Mirei, Miruko, and Misaki sat next to each other on the train for exactly 23 minutes before they recognised each other.
Mirei waited in her apartment. It had been several days since she saw Misaki and Miruko on the train. The two were on their way to her apartment, since they had used her home when they all met up in high school to play The World. She had cleaned that morning and had just gone to the store to buy snacks for them. She had done her best to find the kinds of things that they used to eat when they played together, today was about tradition, after all, but it had been hard to find everything. When the three had separated, she had stopped eating many of those things. She had had a lot more trouble letting go of her friends and their character than she had expected she would. She sat on the couch and she wasn’t sure how long it took before she finally heard a knock.
Misaki and Miruko entered the house. They sat down on the floor in front of Mirei’s couch with her, like they used to, and talked for a while. They tried to discuss what they had all been doing and how college had gone for them, where they worked now, but quickly realised that things had not changed.; they were still very normal, and very boring. They hadn’t gotten into very interesting jobs. Misaki was a cashier in a bookstore that was under terrible management that constantly risked being closed down, Miruko was a waitress who hated her job, and Mirei worked in the same grocery story that she had worked in during high school, although in the years since finishing high school she had at least been promoted into management. Eventually, they ran out of things to say, so Mirei turned on her computer, and opened up The World. It didn’t take them very long to remake Mimika. They all still had the image of the character they had raised burned into their minds. After several minutes, Mimika, once again, stepped into the world.
For a little bit, Mimika wandered the Root Town in awe. So much had changed since back then. Mirei had read about some of the changes to The World over the last few days, and the three of them had all paid close attention to any news or rumours about it, but it hadn't prepared them for seeing it. Once they had gotten over the view, they made their way back to the chaos gate, and began their training. Mirei allowed the other two to make most of the decisions for the time being. She would have Mimika while they retuned home, and then Misaki would play her over the night while Mirei slept and Miruko worked, until Miruko could finally take over in the morning. They couldnt meet and play together as often as they had before, but they were going to meet once or twice a week to all play together at once, and they were going to raise her together again, and become someone unusual, and helpful.
