“Simply fascinating,” Antheia responded, initially refusing to glance up from the paperwork laid out in front of her. In truth, barely half of what the girl said had registered with her. It was only when she asked if she could sit that Theia tore her gaze from the papers and glanced up. “Sorry, I just— I wasn’t ignoring you, I swear, I was just trying really hard to focus on this paperwork. Don’t let that stop you from sitting, though.” Realizing how that sounded, she scratched the back of her neck, offering up an apologetic look. “That came out wrong. What I mean is that it’s more than okay for you to sit. This paperwork is boring, anyway, and I don’t own the table.”
“Oh! You don’t have to apologize! I kinda just popped up out of nowhere...” She said letting out a little laugh and then she leaned forward a little more. “What’re you working on by the way? -- if it’s as boring as you say it is, I think you deserve a little break! Are you hungry? I could run and get something for us quickly if you’d like!”
