We're beyond thrilled to officially be launching The Silver Spoon, a network which is open to all kinds of content creators for BTS! We are excited as well as dedicated towards sharing work created by our lovely members. This includes but is not limited to fanfiction, gfx, fanart & more!
We have further decided to set ourselves apart by accepting applications for those who beta read but do not create any content of their own. One of our admins is a prime example of a lovely beta who does this.
We are a network that allow anyone 16 or older to join & use our tag for their work. It is not an open tag, so you must be a member to use it.
If you would like to have access to the discord server, you must be 18 years of age or older. There are no exceptions to this rule.
The Silver Spoon will closely work alongside its sister blog, @homeofbangtan so if you are someone who loves to work with others in collaborative works, this network will be the first to hear about all our events over there!

With the first story going live tomorrow, our incredible authors have been working super hard to bring this wonderful collab to life! We thought we'd give a mini update on how things are looking.
Our current posting schedule means that a new story will be posted every other day - this way we can all get the maximum enjoyment out of it.
13/07/21: the super talented @joyfulhopelox is kicking off our first proper collab with a Yoongi story
15/07/21: the amazing @ggukcangetit will be following with her take on Jungkook
17/07/21: the torch is then passed onto our very own @mochi-molala who will be gracing us with Jimin (surprise surprise 🤭)
19/07/21: get ready for @alpacaparkaseok adventures with Taehyung
21/07/21: which puts us in the very capable hands of @sunshinejunghoseokie bringing Namjoon into the mix
23/07/21: @delacyrose224 gets up close and personal with Seokjin
25/07/21: last but by no means least, @joheunsaram concludes this event with Hoseok
Initially we planned for Seokjin to be a Ravenclaw; however, at the request of Delacy his house has been changed to Gryffindor and the reader is now a Ravenclaw.
If you were eager to join this collab but missed out then fear not! We are aiming to host a new collab every month, so keep an eye out on our #hob: announcements tag. We have some interesting stuff in the works that we're super excited to announce👀!

You wouldn’t go as far as to say that you and your roommate, Kim Namjoon, were close when you first met.
You were civil, sure, engaging in small talk when you both occupied the common areas of your shared on-campus apartment. He was clean, always picking up after himself and washing whatever dishes piled up in the sink when the two of you found yourselves too busy to get around to moving them to the dishwasher. On occasion, he would leave leftovers for you to eat in the fridge on the nights he knew you had late shifts at the small bookstore you worked part-time at. He had helped you with your homework from time to time when you sighed a little too loud and a little too often, as you sat in the living room hunched over the small coffee table.
There wasn’t much you knew about him beyond the basics during the first year of being his roommate. After renewing your contract and agreeing to live together again for your final year of university, you started to pick up on other things, small observations that you had once turned a blind eye to.
Like you, he was a senior journalism major. He dreamed of traveling the world, writing for prestigious magazines such as National Geographic or Popular Science.
He had a bit of an obsession with plants, lining the balcony with as much flora as he could possibly manage and scattering succulents around the rest of the apartment. (He had even gifted you one for Christmas last year with rosy cheeks and a dimpled grin. To this day it still sat on your desk and served as your official studying partner. You never had much of a green thumb but miraculously, you had managed to keep the plant not only alive, but thriving.)
He loved riding his bike through the botanical gardens on the other side of town, often peeking his head into your room to invite you along for his routine Saturday morning rides. Over time, you found yourself accepting the invitation more often than not. You started finding peace in the feeling of your feet moving the pedals and the dimpled grin Namjoon would send you when he looked over his shoulder to make sure you were still there.
He had kept you company after your first real heartbreak. After a week of eating your weight in take out and downing an obscene amount of beer, you vowed to swear off dating with only Namjoon and the cast of Friends as witness.
He was a suspiciously bad cook, often opting out of making his own food by ordering take-out or roping his closest friend, Kim Seokjin - the head chef of one of the city’s most high profile restaurants, Black Swan - to come over and stock your fridge with enough food to feed a small army.
Thankfully, the overflow in your fridge never went to waste thanks to Namjoon’s close-knit group of friends. Over the years, the six men that often frequented your apartment had become friends of your own, adopting you into their little family with open arms and warm hearts.
Min Yoongi and Jung Hoseok, students from the sound engineering department. Where one was all pouty lips and permanent frowns, the other was the embodiment of sunshine. The only person you had ever seen the raven-haired boy crack a smile for was the former, all gummy grins and dark eyes sparking to life.
Park Jimin, the dance major. Jimin was never one to turn down a challenge of Just Dance and you’d often find yourself standing in front of the television at his side, trying and failing, to keep up with his effortless moves.
Kim Taehyung, artist and dreamer. You had lost count of how many weekends you had spent going from museums to art galleries, Taehyung excitedly explaining all of his favorite exhibits in a way that you couldn’t help but be infected by his joy. By the end of each and every excursion, you felt the same bubble of awe building inside of you, mirroring the dreamy smile that seemed to be permanently etched on his features as you rode the bus back to campus together.
Jeon Jungkook, the youngest of the bunch and avid gamer. Unlike your face-offs with Jimin, you often gave Jungkook a run for his money when it came to Mario Kart. He wasn’t the most graceful person in defeat, often slumping back against the couch, lips tugged downwards in a pout.
You’d easily shrug off his apologies in favor of filling the vacant spot on the couch beside him and joining in on whatever chaos the boys happened to cross. Namjoon’s arm would fall across the back of your shoulders on instinct, pulling you into his side.
Tonight was no different. You welcomed the warmth and his fingers seemed to trace instinctual patterns across your skin.
“Okay, Hobi. Your turn.” Yoongi sends one of his trademark lazy smirks in his direction, eyes half-lidded. “Truth or dare?”
“Truth.” Hoseok doesn’t miss a beat, answering before Yoongi’s question has fully fallen from his lips.
“Is it true you walked in on Namjoon and Y/N making out the other day?”
“Wait! You-”
“Yep!” Hoseok cuts off Namjoon’s protest, mouth set in a wide, heart-shaped smile. “My turn! Joon! Truth or dare?”
“Neither.”
“You have to pick one.”
“I don’t want to.”
“If you don’t pick, we’ll pick for you.” Yoongi interjects. “So what will it be? Truth? Or dare?”
“Fine.” Namjoon groans. “Truth.”
By the mischievous gleam in Hoseok’s eye, you know that he has Namjoon right where he wants him. The trap is set and ready to be sprung.
“Is it true you’d kiss Y/N again right here, right now if she let you?”
“This game is stupid.” Namjoon sinks further into the couch. “Why are we playing this anyway? Don’t we have anything better to do with our time?”
“Just answer the question. If you don’t, we get to choose a dare for you and you can’t say no.”
“Y/N, please.” Namjoon turns to look at you. “Tell them how dumb all of this is.”
“Hey!” Hoseok cries out before you get a chance to respond. “It’s your turn, not Y/N’s! So, what will it be? Are you going to answer the question or do we need to start coming up with a dare for you?”
You owed it to Namjoon’s stubborn pride that you found yourself here now, locked in the hall closet with Namjoon as the others waited outside in the hall, calling out every minute that passed. When Seokjin had suggested a round of truth or dare earlier in the night, you never would have imagined this as the outcome.
Your eyes had long since adjusted to the darkness, focusing on everything but the man standing across from you. The sound of his voice broke the silence that had settled over the two of you since you had been pushed into the closet.
“Sorry.” Namjoon whispers, his arm brushing against yours as he shifts his weight, shoulders hunched to avoid knocking off any of the jackets hanging from the valet rod.
“It’s okay.” You try to smile, but you can feel the tightness in your lips.
“Are you okay? Do you have enough room? I know you don’t do great with small spaces.”
“How do you know that?”
“Know what? That you have claustrophobia?”
“Yeah.”
“Whenever we’re in the elevator, you tap your hand against the side of your leg from the time the doors close until they open again. I just kind of put the pieces together.”
“I didn’t know you paid attention to things like that.”
“I pay attention to a lot more than you would think.”
“Oh.” Your cheeks flush.
You were close enough that if you leaned forward a little you’d be able to brush your lips against his and the very idea of that was tempting beyond belief, but you held back.
The last time you had found yourself in such a situation, it hadn’t ended the way you had hoped. There were no whispered confessions of love or shy smiles.
No, Namjoon had pulled away, hands leaving your waist as if he was burned when Hoseok had burst through the front door of your apartment without warning. Namjoon couldn’t get away from you fast enough, pushing past Hoseok and locking himself in his room for the rest of the night. You had spent the better part of the night staring up at your bedroom ceiling, the feeling of Namjoon’s lips pressed against yours haunting you and leaving you restless.
That had been the night that you decided that Namjoon was so much more than just a roommate to you.
You knew that your relationship had shifted on its axis and there was no going back. Looking back at it all now, you’re not sure you would have wanted to go back even if you could.
He is a confidant and a shoulder to cry on. He is your salvation when you feel like the weight of the world is resting upon your shoulders. An unwavering light in any darkness you found yourself facing.
“Can I ask you something?”
Namjoon nods, wincing when he hits the wall behind him with the back of his head, muttering a quick curse under his breath.
“Are you okay?” Your hand reaches out, fingers threading through his tousled blonde locks to massage his scalp, hoping to ease even a fraction of the pain the impact with the wall inevitably caused him.
“I’m fine.” He leans into your touch. “What’s your question?”
“Well…” Your cheeks burn as you gather your courage. “You never answered Hobi. So...I was just curious. Would you?”
“Would I? What?”
“Would you kiss me again? If I let you?” You can hear your heartbeat in your ears, the steady rhythm nearly deafening.
He’s quiet for a moment and you steel yourself for rejection, but it never comes. He reaches up and takes your hand in his, intertwining your fingers together. His free hand cups your cheek.
“Yes.”
“Then do it. Kiss me.”
He spares you a dimpled grin before he leans in.
You find clarity in his kiss, in his lips brushing yours and his thumb rubbing absent circles against your cheek.
You wouldn’t mind falling for someone new.
Not if it was Namjoon waiting to catch you when you did.
