Vanya: I was drugged my entire childhood against my will. I was forced to suppress my powers for almost my entire life, and didnât even know that I had them. I was shunted and excluded by my family for my whole life, and constantly told that I was âordinaryâ. I was never included within the family. When I finally found someone who treated me well, it turned out that he was using me and emotionally abusing me for his own benefit and revenge. I was choked and locked up by my brother.
Ben: I was given a power that I hated. I was killed at a young age, then forced to watch my brother stuff himself full of drugs to feel okay. I watched him OD a number of times, and I was the only sibling that truly looked after him.
Five: I got stuck in the future. I spent over 40 years alone in a desolated world, surrounded by the corpses of my siblings. I was then forced to become an assassin just to get back to said siblings, and to stop the apocalypse from ever happening. I then got stuck in my 13 year old body and was looked down upon and degraded by everyone I met.
Klaus: when I was 8 I was locked in a mausoleum by my father for hours on end. I suffered through a torture that I have never fully recovered from. I am forced to take drugs and alcohol just to stop the ghosts and corpses from screaming at me. I was tortured for information, and nobody from my family came to rescue me. When I escaped, I became stuck in the Vietnam war for a year, and watched the one person Iâve ever loved more than myself die in my arms. When I got back, my family still treated me like my opinion was invalid and that I wasnât good enough to help them. I still suffer from PTSD.
Allison: I used my powers for my own benefit, which lead to my divorce and my child being taken away from me. Because of this, I decided to never use my powers again. My ex husband doesnât even let me talk to my daughter over the phone.
Diego: I had a speech impediment which I only got over with the help of my robot mom. My father and older brother contsantly degraded me, and told me that I was second best. The woman I am in love with was shot by the same people who broke into my house and attacked my family.
