A pretty art display? Nope.That’s a couple of tiny Velella velella larvae together with confetti-like bits of plastic. 

We’ve got a plastic problem. While it is still unclear how much of this plastic makes it into the ocean, scientists estimate the numbers could reach as high as 12.7 million tons annually. 

Today, on America Recycles Day we’re shedding light on a monstrous problem—one that effects our favorite place, the ocean.

I owe you many thanks...Seeing your MBMBaM posts on my dash inspired me to finally check out the podcast (I'd listened to the episode with Lin-Manuel Miranda a while back, but no others). Now I'm hooked! 😀 Are there any specific episodes you recommend? I've been kinda dipping in at random (though I did binge all the Munch Squad and Haunted Doll Watch clips on YouTube).

ahhh! Sorry for this extremely late response!! I really like the recent shrimp heaven now episode. Also, there was this one episode way back when they riffed about burgers and crows that I recall had me in tears. I'd really just recommend listening to any of the old ones; there are so many gems! Ps. The final Pam monster factory videos 13/10 would recommend

I love this. I love how the Bartender is immediately ride or die for the baby gay, and how all the other lesbians in the bar are waiting on the edge of their seat to see if they get to be happy for the girl or if they have to comfort her. There is literally nothing wrong with this scene, and it makes me happy.

i think one of the worst ways you can work against yourself and your goals is thinking you need to start at a certain time to be organized. i spent years being like “I’ll start my diet on Sunday,” “i’ll start that paper on Monday,” “I’ll start working out on Wednesday,” and if I missed the Correct Day I’d wait another week bc otherwise I felt disorganized and anxious but in the end I didn’t start half the shit I want to so just Start.

If you’re gonna make a goal to do something like maybe write for an hour on mondays, wednesdays, and fridays, just fucking start on whichever day is soonest. don’t wait for Monday. I know it feels like you need to but you don’t!!

Just start!!!!!!!! THE TIME IS NOW, FRIENDS!!!
