Today is #adaywithoutawomen I stand for equality between men and women everywhere! As a man I MUST recognize and use my privilege to work against the oppressive society we have created. My wife and daughter are of the MOST OPPRESSED group of people in our society. Women everywhere, but my black women especially I wear red today to illustrate my standing with you! I am still learning and growing as a male advocate and I will continue to grow and work until our system is corrected. My wife is the smartest person I know and my daughter has NO LIMITS on what she can do or what she can become. When Harlem grows up and realizes whatever greatness God has for her, her gender will not define her gifts. She will not be a female doctor or female scientist, first female to do this, best female to do that. she will be a doctor, a scientist, the first person to do this the best PERSON to ever do that. Lastly, equality for women will not denounce chivalry! We can do the same job for the same pay and I can still hold a door for u. Not because your less and need my courtesy but because your a woman and its the LEAST I can do #daywithoutawoman
