When I suffered from terrible medicated depression, I would feel like i was always slowly sinking into this black tar. I never felt good enough and I never felt wanted. I remember sitting around a table with my step mother and father whilst she knowingly bought up the topic of depression was bought up and ridiculed as if it weren't real. My stepmother would scoff at the 'weakness' of these people and that it's just the real world they can't cope with.
