Essential Traits Updates & Translations Added

UPDATE: 100 Base Game Traits V1.6

Fixed unharmful Invalid Tunings that cause the traits to appear on BE warnings. It is recommended to remove all your previous trait packages and redownload this updated version.

I moved Mute Trait to be standalone because I found the "silent voice" effect requires Seasons Pack

Added Talentless Trait as a replacement in Part 5

Renamed a few traits (Logical to Analytical, Absolute Pitch to Perfect Pitch, Charismatic to Charming, Abusive to Cruel) so that they are not to be confused with the skills or get interpreted in the wrong way.

TS4: Kitchen Sponge Override

Since I’m working on kitchen/food override items, I also created a new version of the sponge our Sims wash the dishes :)

There are 16 different swatches for you to choose :)

DOWNLOAD & INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS:

* The 16 package files are inside the zip/folder below. After you download and extract it, keep only the package file of the color you want and delete the other files.

* On the picture (on download page) you can see all the different swatches. Let’s just say that you want the “Yellow and green”, for example. Then you’ll only keep the “channel4sims - kitchen sponge override - yellow and green” package and delete the other ones.

* You can only use 1 override at a time.

* Don’t put the file inside more than 2 folders, or it may not work.

Example 1: Mods/Sponge override/ (your file here). I Two folders, it’ll work✔️

Example 2: Mods/Overrides/Sponge override/ (your file here) I Three folders, it may nor work ❌

Sandy the Snowman

I actually really like the ‘sandman’ that EA gave us in the December 12th patch, but I knew that I would never end up using it in my game. In the 3 years since TS4 came out, I’ve never played a family in Oasis Springs! So I turned this cutie into a proper snowman, with 16 solid colored scarf swatches in the Cottage Garden palette, plus 12 patterns!

Van Gogh Beddings

I always liked that bed that you could unlock in the painting career, but two Van Gogh beddings was never enough for me! Plus, as soon as separated mattresses became a thing, I never looked back. So here are 62 recolors of Veranka’s separated double mattress! These won’t be made available for single beds, sadly, because the size of that bed would never be able to do these artworks justice. I already had to do quite a lot of clever cropping to get them to fit onto these mattresses!

So, a note: this file is huge. The textures have a lot of detail, and that meant every bedding was coming in at just over half a MB in size. With 62 of them, this file is 34 MB! I promise they’re worth it though, and there’s a Van Gogh bedding fit for everyone! There’s pretty floral pastels, vibrant landscapes, and even a couple darker, gloomy ones for the rugged fellows. I sat and sifted through 913 of Van Gogh’s pieces, and picked out just these 62 to make into bedding!! So you know they’re good. ;) Hope you enjoy!

TS4 Windows Desktop Icons!

I’ve had this idea sort of bopping around in my head for awhile, and I finally decided to sit down and see if I could do it! It took quite a bit of trial-and-error, trying to track down programs that were both free and able to do what I needed, but dang it if I didn’t actually manage it!

So included in the download is one .dll file, which has 496 extracted icons from The Sims 4 base game and its various add-on packs. I could not include all 1000+ of the icons from the game, because Windows could not read them all at once. I think the hardest part of this whole process was picking and choosing which icons made the final cut! I tried to just remove duplicates and similar icons, but in the end I did have to start choosing which icons I felt would be the most useful as desktop icons. Sorry if any of your favorites aren’t included!!

How To Use:

After downloading, place the .dll file somewhere you won’t move it! It needs to stay put so your computer always knows where to find the images.

Choose a folder icon on your desktop you want to change. Right-click, and choose ‘Properties’.

Go to the ‘Customize’ tab and select ‘Change Icon’.

Select ‘Browse’, and navigate to where you placed the .dll file. Select ‘Open’.

Choose which icon you’d like to use, and select ‘OK’.

Select ‘OK’ again, and voila!

To change the ‘Recycle Bin’ icon is a little bit different, but if you just Google how to, it’s still pretty simple! & that’s it! I hope some other people will get use from this, it was a fun thing to try and do. Gonna say right now though that I don’t know anything about Macs! I won’t be able to help anyone with a Mac, or make another version of this for Macs. Sorry!

I thought this option would be cute for those who like to use the cookbook for a little more than just cooking.. Keep track of past relations by adding their names to the cookbook and pass it down throughout the generations :)
