•then mike came out, and when they pricked him he was the calmest little fetus about it
• when they were a year old Nancy asked to hold them and richie kicked her in the face
•mike put his hand on her cheek before spitting up on himself
•being in a playpen together would involve mike calmly building a block tower while richie banged trucks together obnoxiously
•when they started kindergarten richie immediately took off running around
•mike kinda hugged Karen’s leg until he saw this little brown haired boy drawing with crayons
•he walked over to him and just asked
•they were drawing together when richie smacked Mikes shoulder and asked who his new boyfriend was

•skip ahead to middle school and mike and will had been best friends for years
•richie has a best friend named bill who he met in 4th grade
•at one point bill had a bit of a crush on will so he started talking to richie
•he became best friends with richie and when he told richie he liked will richie started laughing hysterivally

•skip ahead to ninth grade, Mike dated a girl named jane who he nicknamed eleven but broke up with
•Mike and richies friend group was pretty big consisting of 13 people, but they all loved each other, some in ways different than others
• it wasn’t until June of ninth grade most everyone came out tho
• mike, richie, bev, El and Stan as bi
•will, max and eddie as gay
•and Ben is the only straight hoe
•they all decided to go to pride that year which ended with Stan and bill dating as well as max and el
•bill kissed stans cheek with a rainbow flag draped on his shoulders while Stan had bi flags on his cheeks

• after Eddies mom found out he went to pride she kept a lock on his bedroom door
• eddie would get locked in his room and not be allowed to leave unless it was for school
• everyone made a plan to get eddie out
• eddie would be in his room when Ike went to the door dressed as richie while richie went through Eddies window to help him escape
•when mike got to the door Sonia started yelling at him that he difiled her poor son
•mike stood there and took it so his brother could get eddie out
•richie went through the open window where he saw eddie crying on his bed
•eddie hugged richie tightly and kissed him lightly before he pulled away to look at him
•richie was dazed for a few seconds before he told eddie ‘pack what you need, we’re getting you out of here’
• eddie packed a duffle and a suitcase with all his books, most of his clothes, mementos of him and his friends
• eddie was worried about how they would get out the window when richie took his backs and yeeted him our the window

• Eddie climbed down the storm drain with richie down behind him
• eddie was on the back of dustin bike when they drove past the front of Eddies house

•Sonia saw eddie and his friends biking away and turned, fuming to mike
•mike gave a shit eating smile when he stuck up his middle fingers at Sonia while running away and shouting 'FUCK YOU YOU ABUSIVE FUCK
•Karen won a custody battle against Sonia on grounds of abuse and that Karen cared not to let this 14 year old go into the system
•so eds and rich lived together, Karen supporting their relationship
