for the love of god Please stop saying paper is going to die
#txt#delete later#because why would they kill off a character who they very clearly planned on giving development during the course of the season#they wouldn't just immediately use paper as character death fodder when his only arc lasted 3 and a half episodes and ended with him being#the martyr for poppy and metag especially when they were clearly trying to highlight his PTSD stemming from what happens in the ii movie#and his aversion towards them compared to everyone else. it would be a shitty conclusion if they ended his whole story at that without#further acknowledgement for his PTSD because they already fucked that up by making paper forgive poppy so easily without even bringing up#the fact that his actions were due to his PTSD and just went along to say that he shouldn't have done that#which he shouldn't have! but their failure to acknowledge the fact that he was having a PTSD response and now leaving on him on#an isolated island (sound familiar?) with one of the two characters who CAUSED him to have a PTSD response to just be killed by#fucking corndon ramsey is awful. people genuinely thinking he's going to die without any further development is not giving me hope for the#future of this season. the way they're handling fan's depression is okay but if they kill paper just like that and abandon his character#arc then they're just being blatantly disrespectful to people with PTSD that makes them angry and aggressive. you can't just have a double#standard when portraying mentally ill characters you can't just make one hoard all the screentime and kill off the other for plot reasons.#wow!! you know what'll be a good redemption arc for paper? leaving him on an island with metag and putting him in danger without any#protection just so he can dissociate all over again!!! and what's worse is that him dying is essentially just him dying a martyr further#proving that ae doesn't have anything left for him which is ALSO pretty much just validating fan's false notion that the “system works”#the whole point of this season is literally to show that it doesn't work??? if paper dies thinking and proving that fan is Apparently right#in his notions i'm going to be extremely upset#you know what i think? i think looseleaf will most likely come back to defend paper & the others against corndon because that's the only#explanation that makes sense to me for why they would keep focusing on his PTSD and trauma regarding S1. if they use this buildup as a#chance to focus on looseleaf then that's fine. if they completely disregard it and just kill him off without further elaboration then#that's just bad writing. at this point i don't know what to expect from ae but i guess we'll find out when the tour is over#on a less critical note if they do kill paper i really don't know what i'd do with myself. he's a character who has helped me through#extremely difficult periods of my life and i've been attached to him for well over a year now and if they just kill him off now i really#don't know what i would do. i'm already struggling to live as is please don't get rid of one of the only reasons i'm still alive
