Concept: The Gotham Citizen app has a forum for posting candid photos of vigilantes and there’s an ongoing phenomenon where photos of Tim are impossibly gorgeous no matter the angle and photos of Dick (one of the most beautiful people in the entire world) look like when you take high-speed photos of Olympic athletes mid-sport
Danny is an amateur photographer who came to Gotham with Jazz after she got accepted into Gotham University. They claim it's to settle their nerves on her being alone in a dangerous city, they claim it's to help her pay the bills and they even claim Danny getting a Gotham Academy scholarship will look great on college applications but in all honesty it was to get away from Amity Park and his parents.
It's not that Danny hates his parents. He's just tired of being less of a priority than ghost-hunting. He is also tired of defending a city that doesn't value all the risks he takes. Valerie, who still treats him as the lesser of two evils, was more then capable and willing to handle the ghost danger.
The only thing holding him back was Sam and Tucker, but his best friends sat him down and tearfully told him that Danny needed to pick what was best for his mental health. If leaving with Jazz provided that for him, they would support him even if Danny would not be there for their Junior and Senior years.
Jazz has always been his rock. He knows he has no right to still cling to her when she finally been able to leave home. Yet he found himself actually shaking in terror of her leaving.
Thankfully, she felt the same way. Unwilling to leave him in the Fenton household alone she, even considered doing college online to stay around him. That was until The Gotham University acceptance letter arrived along with the full Wayne Scholarship. The only requirement was that she had to be on campus for her classes physically, and thus she took him, having her parents sign over guardianship as soon as she turned eighteen.
Danny loved his new school. Sure the other kids didn't bother to befriended him but they didn't actively bully him like the A-listers. Jazz had even encourage him to take the photogray elective- something to keep him busy but safe- and he found himself being good at something. He enjoyed it.
His grades were all straight As- no more ghosts to disrupt his sleeping and studying schedule- his photos were rising in popularity on his blog, and most of all, Jazz was happy.
He didn't want to ruin this new life with anything silly like crime fighting.
That's why the first picture of Red Robin was a total accident. He had been attempting to take a photo of Wayne Tower- the highest building and the most Aesthetically Gothic- by claiming to the next door building and laying flat on his back.
He wanted to get the Bat symbol in the background for Sam only to be shocked to spot a figure crouching down on the edge of the building.
He zooms in and finds Red Robin crouching down with his staff extended and the wind blowing his cape. His head is turned to the side, overlooking the city, with a serious expression that Danny can't help but want to capture.
He snaps the photo just as Red Robin spots what he's looking for, flipping over the edge and grappling across the city. Danny watches him go with a fluttering heart. He posts the photo and over night he gains ten thousand new followers.
After that, it's like Gotham is pushing him to be in the right spot at the right time. Danny tended to wander around Gotham at night. Mostly, it was to clear his head and always stay invisible so he never ran into trouble. It's safe to say he could defend himself just fine as the Ghost King, too.
Whenever he happened to cross Red Robin, his photos always came out looking gorgeous, as if the man had no bad angles, regardless of when Danny took the picture. It wasn't like he went out looking for the vigilante; in fact, he happened to come across the others just as often but none of them looked as good as Red Robin.
Especially Nightwing, that man's photos always looked like the worst and most hilarious time to pause a video. Danny's favorite was the one he took just as the blue wearing vigilante did a mid twist- coming out as like a flying rag doll.
No matter the angel Nightwing just looked terrible in photos.
Danny posted those, too, along with the ones of Robin, Spoiler, Signal, Batman, and Black Bat. Some were great, like the one of Robin drop-kicking a punk who was swining a pipe around, and others were like Nightwing.
He has gotten one of Batman hunched over like a goblin and titled it "I am the BackPain."
But Red Robin? Danny has yet to capture a meme-worthy photo and instead has ended up with files and files of the man looking like a male model.
Danny makes it his life goal to get one terrible picture of Red Robin
(Unknown to Danny, his blog is highly protected by Tucker and Technus so no one can ID him. Not the criminals, not the civilians and not the Bats. Bruce is losing his mind that someone has been following them around taking photos like Tim once did but posting them online.
Tim is just super flattered his fan has never posted a bad photo compared to his despairing siblings.
But the question remains: Who is Phantom and what is his goal with these photos?)
reblog art instead of reposting it if you want to be respectful of artists. there is no credit in that last post because there is no way to find out who originally made it :(
I didn't mean to be disrespectful I found it on Pinterest from an art stealing and Ai generating account thus I didn't put that one as the credit I loved the arts type though and am still looking for the original artist though and I'll make sure to edit my post after I find it thanks for the question though your interaction is appreciated! <3
