Esp aggravating bc ive made a really big effort this year to start taking my health more seriously and get referrals and get my blood checked and take medication consistently and fix my awful dehydration issues my gps dont care about at all and go outside and buy shoes that dont cut my feet up and take care of wounds and get more fibre and its all been really hard and expensive! But no matter what you do if youre fat you're 'not trying', youre abandoning yr health. But ofc the people who stare blankly then move on whenever i mention a health issue are the ones who really care abt me.
also also. This is something I've had a lot of drs do, where they see that i have a diagnosis they dont like (usually given by their clinic!) so they start trying to convince me that i dont really have it as if thatll undiagnose me? Like i mentioned POTS to the guy today and he started questioning me on my symptoms even tho my question was in relation to a medication issue. So i was just kind of like? Why are you asking that? Im already diagnosed? But he said my files were confusing like ok. How is that my fault. I used to get that a lot w the mental health clinic i went to where id see all these drs who were idk getting experience or whatever instead of my regular one and theyd always launch into 'you're not autistic' speeches unprompted. Take it up with the guy you report to who diagnosed me? I don't get it. Do they not understand that the patient is not the one who does the labelling. Drs will do this then complain that they cant do their job bc they dont have enough time w patients
also in a bad mood bc the cinemas near me are showing that terf cartoon as part of 'pride' celebrations and i keep seeing it when i check to see if there's still tickets available for The Killer 1989
I dont think its worth it to hope/try to make drs treat me better so I'm focused more on trying to care less abt their behaviour and see them as prescription dispensers but it's really hard when you have to see them monthly and you cant disconnect completely because they can stop treating you out of spite so you have to spend so much energy managing their feelings. It's just exhausting.
really irritating drs appointment where despite making my position clear at start (id like to try a glp1 to see how i tolerate it/how it affects my blood sugar) the guy kept arguing w me over nonsense like "your blood sugar's been stable for years" (it hasn't and i was put on a new medication this year bc of it) and "you're young and healthy" (after telling him i cant get out of bed most days) and ofc the badgering abt how my weight's going to explode my heart and my joints and give me cancer. eventually i just had to remind him that the first thing i said was that i was willing to try this thing and he seemed annoyed that we were essentially in agreement abt that even tho he started the whole mess. idk if there's a note on my records saying I'm 'combative' or if he just assumes patients are always in opposition to 'medical advice' but it's so annoying talking to these people
Sicker but the sky's blue and it looks like it's going to rain all week again so I'm going walkies

based on this:
got subway by myself for probably the first time since early 2020, went to the museum to see some alasdair grey pictures that are leaving next month, went and bought some postcards (have not used my card myself since 2020 either)
