& i've i think said this before and not just gone on a tirade in my friend's discord dms but imo a large part of the problem is people sublimating desires & fantasies that are very straightforwardly cnc into whatever they assume "bratting" must be so they can maintain a sense of distance from & superiority over those who engage with cnc in earnest. no brat breaking/being broken is not a standard one-size-fits-all interest you can assume from anyone even vaguely kinky, you are interested in roleplaying non-consensual scenarios and you should learn more about this and talk about it honestly and directly with your partners to avoid hurting yourself or others

the number of white/tme/middle class/etc autistics i've seen who use "i just can't read/understand tone" as an excuse to interpret other people as wildly more hostile and poor-intentioned than they actually are drives me up the wall. they'll hide behind language like "allistics" (assuming everyone else they speak to isnt autistic) but you'll start to notice they only extend this worst-case-interpretation to. like. people of color. transfems. unhoused people. whatever.

it's just "interesting" to me...... very much in the vein of "im autistic so i can talk about abhorrent rap sounds" or whatever. its always something
