"Hold my hand" "Absolutely not" -> enemies to lovers with hazel
Just posted it love!
Oh My God || Hazel Callahan
Listen- I believe in loser hazel and I find her to be perfect- I know this isn't my best fic but I've been in serious bottoms brain rot
dialog prompts:
"Hold my hand" "Absolutely not"
Characters: Hazel Callahan x Reader, the whole club
Word count: 2359
Hazel Callahan was your mortal enemy. Did she know? Probably not. It was honestly beside the point. Because what mattered was that bitch seemed to have it out for you since the start of high school. First, it was taking your topic for a history project. Whatever- no big deal. Then all the âaccidentsâ spilling coffee on your backpack (she had given you money for a new one but still), tripping you in the walkways, and hitting you in the face with a volleyball (multiple times). After that, she got the better parking spot for senior year, and finally, the great big plump cherry on top, she took the lunch table you had practically reserved since freshman year.Â
Practice || Van Palmer Part 2
I am so sorry đ University has been insane with hurricanes, car accidents and the like!
dialog prompts:
"Hold my hand" "Absolutely not" "We should kiss, for like practice" "I've liked you since you hit me with a rock at recess in 1st grade." "fuck you"
Characters: Van x Reader, the whole team
Word count: 2564
That night after Kevyn dropped you off at home you were pretty drunk, and now in your room alone to face your thoughts.
You had gotten so close- so close to just knocking down the safety rails and jumping into the universe that is one Van Palmer.
You brushed your teeth, changed, chugged a glass of water to avoid a killer hangover, and then flopped face-first into your bed.
You pictured Van, looking at you- though you after you had all but confessed to her. She had to know right? Even she isnât that dense. Or maybe she is when it comes to herself and not characters on a screen.
You huffed and rolled onto your back. This was ridiculous- youâre being ridiculous. First of all, you never even told her you were gay. And she never even hinted at knowing it. You hadnât even told her about your own questioning thoughts when she came out to you in the 8th grade.
Will there be a part 2 to practice with Van ?
Yes sorry đ I just moved back across the country for school and then was hit by a hurricane ďżź so Iâve been a little distracted lol ďżź
Hello, how are you feeling today? I hope you are feeling amazing.
I just dropped by to tell you a couple of things, I loved your Misty oneshot, your writing is beautiful.
And secondly, what made you write again? From what I saw you recently took up writing again, I hope I'm not bothering you, of course.
I hope you have a great day. đ
Hello deary! I am very busy right now- One of my jobs right now is website design and the organization I'm working for keeps expanding what they want so I have been basically playing catch up all the time.
Also thank you! I was really worried about writing for Misty because to me she is a untouchable character lol she's written so perfectly in the show.
And I started writing again because I really used to love it. I've changed a lot since I stopped writing but I was missing the creative outlet of writing. I haven't been doing any type of art and it's been draining so I finally gave in and wanted to try it again <3
Practice || Van Palmer Part 1
Guys went a little crazy and I think this will be well over 3k words so I'm gonna split it in two parts- also I swear I don't hate Jackie- she's just such an easy villain.
dialog prompts:
"Hold my hand" "Absolutely not" "We should kiss, for like practice" "I've liked you since you hit me with a rock at recess in 1st grade." "fuck you"
Characters: Van x Reader, the whole team
Word count: 1568
You had known Van since kindgerraden. You two had been table mates and caused the teacher so many headaches that she moved you to opposite sides of the classroom, which of course only made you two more disruptive. By some miracle, or curse depending on who you asked, The two of you had been in all the same classes leading up to high school, where you still ended up having a good amount together.
She had wanted to be a goalie in soccer so you had to join too, obviously. JV freshman year introduced you to the rest of your high school friend group. Everyone got along as well as you could expect for a small-town soccer team. Although there was definitely still the fair share of petty arguments and drama.Â
âCome on guys, focus!â Jackie yelled in her normal peppy voice across the field. You grumbled, doing your best not to glare at her.Â
This practice had fallen apart almost as soon as it started. Jackie and Tai had gotten into yet another screaming match in the locker room, splitting the team up and leaving tension hanging over all of you.Â
You tried another play, which ended in Natalie completely knocking down Shanua- starting another yelling match.Â
You stood with a hand on your hip. Waiting for Coach Ben to call it for the day.Â
âNice Ass ladyâ Van whispered as she approached you from behind before breaking into a chuckle.
âTake a picture, itâll last longer.â You smirked over your shoulder and winked at her, causing her to fan herself with her hand. âHow long do you think before practice is called?âÂ
The redhead tapped her chin pretending to think, âIâll give it two more minutes- either Coach calls it or Tai decks Jackie out cold.âÂ
You let out a snort, âIf Tai takes Jackie- Shauna will be on her before she had the chance to run.âÂ
âIâd pay to see that.âÂ
âIâm sure you would.âÂ
She gave you a cheeky grin.Â
Sure enough within 2 minutes Coach called it, telling everyone to take the rest of the day and the weekend to cool off.Â
~Â
âSo⌠Natalie, did you mean to knock down Shauna or was it just a stellar accident?â Van asked Natalie before taking a drag of the joint between her fingers.  Â
This was a semi-normal occurrence. Nat, Van, Lottie and you hitting a joint behind the school before leaving practice.Â
âCan I plead the fifth?â You laughed as Van passed you the joint. âBesides- I barely tapped her.âÂ
You let out a puff of smoke before speaking up again, âWell if weâre still going to that party tonight you better watch out for Jackie's wrath.âÂ
Lottie giggled, âI don't think she even knows how to throw a punch.âÂ
Natalie finished off the joint before flicking it to the ground and stomping it into the ground with her boot. âGuess weâll have to find outâ She gave her most daring grin.
~
You went home to change and get ready, opting to waste most of your time laying on your bed zoning out to the radio. At 9:30 you went outside to wait for Kevyn to pull up. The major perk of whatever the fuck he had going with Natalie meant you all had a ride to every party.Â
Sure enough, he pulled up in his semi-shitty car (not that you were one to judge) with Natalie, Van, and Lottie already loaded in. You smooshed into the back seat next to Van who like usual wore an oversized T-Shirt under her jean jacket and tan pants.Â
As small town trashy as it was, most parties were either held at a few designated houses or, more often, in the woods about two miles from the school. Kevyn pulled up and parked with all the other cars, letting all of you get out. âIf you want rides back Iâll only ask you once before I leave.â Kevyn locked his car before wrapping an arm around Natalie's shoulders and heading towards the bonfire.Â
Lottie made a gagging sound next to you, âI just donât get what she sees in him.âÂ
âI hear ya Lot. But to be fair I feel that about all her boy toys.â Van added.
You shrugged, noncommittally and started towards a keg, âI donât know about you guys but I need a drink.âÂ
Lottie spotted some people from her classes and left to catch up with them, leaving you and Van alone.Â
Itâs not that parties weren't for you per se, but Van didnât much care for them. Sheâd rather be at your place getting high and watching old VHSs than be surrounded by fellow students after what was already required for school.Â
You two tended to stay off to the side, making fun of the drunk kids and freshmen who really werenât ready to be here yet.Â
You were sitting on one of the log benches, resting your head on Vanâs shoulder, laughing at the stupid commentary she was providing before you heard Jackies yell ring out over the noise, âWhatâd you say Bitch?â You stood up from your spot, rushing towards the scene, Van hot on your heels. Jackie was pushing Natalie away from her, Kevyn trying (not well) to hold Natalie back.Â
âI said, youâre a stuck-up cunt.â Natalie spat at her.Â
You smacked your forehead as Van grumbled next to you, âSeriously Nat? Not helpful.âÂ
The two of you werenât the only partygoers who had come to see the commotion. A circle had formed around the two. âYou need to watch yourself, so you donât end up like your trailer trash parents.âÂ
You could feel Van tense next to you before she jumped between them, âOkay- Thatâs enough, yellowjackets meeting. Right now.âÂ
Natalie had a fire in her eyes, Jackie's cruelty, and Van's one of disappointment. Natalie huffed but followed Van, prompting you, Lottie, Shauna, and Jackie to follow. You hadnât seen Tai all night and assumed she probably didnât show up to avoid being around Jackie and Shauna.Â
Once you were all a small distance away from the rest of the party Van stopped and clapped her hands together, âalright- letâs talk this shit out before the ally incident from last season repeats itself.âÂ
âThereâs really nothing to say other than the apology Natalie owes me.â Jackie started, earning the start of more yelling.Â
âHey!â Van yells over the others, âJackie- you and Tai agreed to move on so now do it.â She rubs down her face with your head, obviously tired of this shit. âWhy donât we do what we did last year before nationals? Do the camp thing where we all have to say something nice about each other.âÂ
As the others protested you moved forward in front of Jackie, âCome on guys- it helped us last time! Letâs try it.â You gave Van a look, trying to show her you were doing your best.Â
Nat rolled her eyes but nevertheless turned to Shauna and plastered on a smile.Â
You looked back to Jackie, she seemed apprehensive. You two werenât really close, but you were civil and had nothing personally against her. She was just very sheltered compared to Van, Nat, Lottie, and you. And you assumed Shauna but you werenât really sure.Â
âJackieâŚ. I think youâre a great leader.â Okay, you had to be better than that, âThe way you can rally the team is impressiveâŚ. And I really love your style.â
Better right?
Sure enough, she smiled and thanked you before returning the favor. Â
You and Van had each other last, which was definitely for the best because you were crossed enough that there was no way you could stay serious with her.Â
She stepped in front of you and smirked, â(y/n), I've liked you since you hit me with a rock at recess in 1st grade."Â
"fuck you"
She barked out a laugh and lightly hit your arm, âWhat? Itâs true!âÂ
You rolled your eyes and crossed your arms over your chest, â First of all it was an accident, Secondly I barely hit you, you were just dramatic.âÂ
âMmmm, that's what you wanted Mrs. Todd to think.âÂ
You shook your head but couldn't help from joining in her laughter. Her laughter was contagious you swear to god.Â
âOkay okay, my turn. Tell me how great I am.âÂ
You tapped your chin, pretending to think, âI donât know? Maybe your rugged good looks? Your amazing sense of humor? Your seemingly unlimited supply of weed? Thereâs just so much to pick from. Wait I know, I love that youâre the most fucking outstanding, compassionate, beautiful person Iâve ever met.âÂ
It had been meant to be light-hearted, and it was. But now that the words were hanging in the air they felt a lot heavier, like more of the truth than you had intended had sneaked in.Â
Both of you had fallen into a delicate silence, the rest of the team and party fading into the background. She was still smiling, more earnestly than you had seen in a long time. âThank you.â
You give her a half smile, âItâs just the truth.âÂ
Natalie wrapped her arms around both of you, missing the fact that she was interrupting a private moment, âPalmer, you never cease to amaze me. Jackie actually apologized.âÂ
Van smiled, âthatâs great.â It came out strained and you tried not to cringe.
Literally Just Us || Lottie Matthews
dialog prompts: "Spin the bottle" "It's literally just us
Characters: Lottie x Reader, Van, Natalie, Jackie, and Shauna
Word count: 1529
âLottie Matthewâs you are the most beautiful person Iâve ever met.â You smirked as you took the joint from her lips and brought it to your own.
âMm, you flatter me too much.â Her cheeks pushed up and caused the outside of her eyes to crinkle as she smiled, blowing smoke out.
âNot possibleâ
She laughed, the rosiness of her cheeks intensifing.
âOkay stop hogging it and pass it already.â Natalie deadpanned next to you- making a grabby hand in front of your face.
Lottie, Natalie, Van and you stood outside Lottieâs back door. The inside was buzzing with teens- most already drunk or high as it was rounding midnight.
Your gaze slid across her house, the big windows and golden light peeking out of them. Music seeming to make the stutters shake with the beat.
You must be pretty high already- or maybe just tried because you zoned out thinking about something you wouldnât remember in 10 minutes when Van blew smoke right in your face, causing you to cough and stumble back in shock as the other three laughed at you.
âYeah yeah- very funny.â You croaked out between coughs.
The girls calmed down. Lottie finished the joint and stomped it into the dirt next to the deck.
âWe should head back in before Jeff and Jackie get into a screaming match again.â Natalie groans.
âJeff! It was just Shauna it doesnât count as sex!â Van mocked Jackieâs voice, earning laughs from the others.
âGod when is she gonna have her come to Jesus moment.â You asked as you shook your head towards the ground.
âHopefully soon- I canât take much more of Shauna's puppy dog eyes- they're like haunting my dreams.â Lottie laughed as she swung the door open.
The party was still in full swing, people milling around with red solo cups and beer bottles. All of Wiskayokâs teens crowded in one house- a house that was amazingly able to fit them all.
Technically this party was for the football team but Lottie's house was the party house because of its size and the fact her parents were always gone and didnât give a shit what she did.
You could tell it hurt her. You didnât know the complexity of their relationship and it wasnât really your place but you could see that they all loved each other- something just stopped them from knowing how to show it.
Jackie and Shauna stood against the counter, bickering about something. Shauna rolled her eyes before meeting yours. âPlease tell me you have more beer in the basement Lottie.â She huffed out as she left Jackie with her mouth flapping like a fish.
âSorry Shauna- we used up the reserves after the game last week.â
âShit- I guess thatâs my cue then.â
Natalie gave her a solute as Shauna gave all of you a little wave, ignoring Jackie on the way out.
You let out a low whistle. Van copied your sound and then joked, âis right. That was hard to watch.â
People were starting to leave in a steady stream. You and Van started to pick up stray bottles and cups as Lottie and Natalie kicked the few people left out.
The four of you stuck together at almost every party, when tai would be willing to put down homework and join, sheâd fit in like another puzzle piece.
Because you all were a group and Lottie was the party house owner- it also meant that youâd tend to have a mini sleepover after each party.
Lucky you all had a system and it only took a little less 40 minutes to clean up the mess.
After the cleaning was done the four of you set up camp in the living room. You grabbed the mattress from one of the storage rooms and dragged them in front of the big tv.
Can face planted onto the mattress as soon as it was in place. âThis bed is softer than mine at home I swear to god.â The mattress muffled her voice.
âDid you guys wanna play a game?â Lottie asked giving the mattress a tiny kick.
Van flopped her arm up, âTo tried.â
âYeah count me out too, Iâm ready to pass out,â Natalie said joining her on the
âBoo. You guys are lameâ Lottie laughed in a sing-song voice. She bumped your arm and gave you the big round eyes and little smile she knew would win you over every time. âWhat about you?â
âSure lot.â You smiled back at her and she led you to the kitchen with your hand in hers.
She bent over and opened one of the lower cabinets, reaching back at a weird angle with a look of concentration.
âWhat are you doing?â You chuckled.
âYouâll see.â She continued to rummage for a few more seconds before the look of victory lit up her face. âGotcha!â
Out she pulled a huge plastic bag of Skittles. âDid you hide that?â You laughed as she looked at the bag in her hands like it was her firstborn.
âYeah- if my parents from candy theyâd throw it out- a bottle of vodka, sure thatâs fine but god forbid I eat a snack with sugar in it.â
You rolled your eyes, âI donât get your parents.â
âYeah, I donât either.â You could hear the shift in her voice. A tone that said more than her words ever could.
You desperately wanted to bring her back to earth with you, in the big kitchen with soft yellow lights and a big ass bag of Skittles. âSo!â You clapped your hands together. âWhat game are you thinking?â
The shift happened again, this time back to the after-party giddiness. âHmmm, I donât knowâŚ. How about truth or dare?â
You rolled your eyes, âOkay- a throwback to 7th grade. I like it.â
You moved to the parlor (wow you forgot how rich Lottie was sometimes) and kneeled on one side of a coffee table, gesturing for Lottie to take the seat opposite of you.
âAlrighty, your idea so you go first, truth or dare?â
âTruthâ
âDo you actually like Jackie or do you only talk to her for the team?â
Lottie made an affronted noise and leaned across the small table to hit you on the shoulder. You made a weak attempt to dodge her attack and laughed, âWhat?! You have to tell me! Honestly.â
She looked at you seriously but couldnât hold the façade and laughed. âI canât stand herâ
âI knew it!â
âGod donât tell anyone! I just see how much she hurts Shauna and she doesnât even realize it! Okay, your turn- truth or dare?â
âOkay- truth.â
âYouâre so boring-â
âYou literally picked the same thing!â
âHmmmmmâŚâ she bummed over you. And then squinted her eyes, sizing you up. âDid you actually fuck Randy after homecoming?â
âOh my fucking god Lottie! No, Jesus, no!â
She laughed and put her hands up in surrender, âHey I was just checking, that rumor was going around the school for weeks.â
You shuddered, âLottie no- Randy? First of all- not my type. Second of all never even kissed anyone.â
She gave you a slightly shocked confused look, âIâm sorry what?â
âYup. Kiss virgin over here.â You have a little laugh trying to lighten the mood.
âOkay, new game- spin the bottle.â
âItâs literally just us.â
âSo?â
Your smile faded, the conversation taking a turn you were expecting, and weâre entirely ready for.
âUh⌠here..â Lottie stood up and wandered from the room. Leaving you to gawk at where she had just been. You heard some shuffling from the other room, and then water running, before she reappeared- an empty beer bottle in hand. âI got it out of the trash- Donât worry- I cleaned it.â
You let out a nervous laugh. âAre you being serious?â
Sometimes it was hard to tell when it came to Lottie, whether or not she was serious or just making a slightly off-kilter joke.
âYeah- a throwback to 7th grade right?â
You took a deep breath as she sat back down across you and set the bottle on its side in front of you. âRight.â
âGo ahead.â
You quriked your eyebrow up
âSpin the bottle.â
âOh yeah, duh.â
You grabbed the bottle and gave it a steady spin. You knew in your mind it really didnât matter where it landed, after all there was literally only the two of you.
You must of spun it harder than you thought as the bottle spun and spun for what felt that minutes before lottie spoke up, âI canât wait any longer.â
She basically lunched herself across the table, cupping your cheeks with both hands and giving you a long, hard kiss.
She pulled back, just a hair, and met your eyes. You could see the determination and sometime akin to passion. âLot-â She cut you off with her lips, captured yours in a practiced dance.
You only pulled back when you thought youâd pass out from lack of air. âJesus.â
âNo, Just me.â She gave you a cheeky smile as she whipped her chin. âWe should play that again sometime.â
âOkay but only when itâs just us.â
also if you like yellowjackets send me a message! I haven't used tumblr in years and I need to find people again!
Something to mask you || Van Palmer
just everyone pretend Tai is basically not there. thanks.
dialog prompts: "You're too hot to be this depressed" and "Shit, shit, don't pass out you asshole- wake up!"
Characters: Van Palmer x Reader
Word count: 1082
If anyone asked- you totally kept your cool. When you woke up to screaming and Misty pointed at Van- being attacked by wolves- you totally didnât lose your absolute shit and totally didnât go after the animal with an ax and blacked out after the first swing downward.Â
When you came back to yourself- Misty was shaking Van on the ground- her words incoherent to you. On autopilot, you pushed her aside and planted your knees where hers had just been. âVan! No, no! Dear god please!â You sobbed, resting your head on her shoulder as Akilah and Misty tried to pull you away.Â
Covered in blood, both the wolf and vans, you kneeled on the ground. Akilah held your shoulders so you wouldnât go after Misty who was pulling her body away from you. Misty said that you should burn her body- said it would be best and thatâd itâd help stop animals from getting more of her than they already did. And you couldnât argue- you werenât in a place to argue. Everyone knew you and Van were closer than best friends even if it went unspoken.Â
You couldnât speak as you had been crying hysterically since you laid eyes on Vans now disfigured- but still just as beautiful face. You helped build the wooden altar to lay her on but refused to help place her on it.
As Misty lit up the twigs and leaves underneath Vans still body you grabbed her hand- not caring if the flames danced on your skin as long as you touched her as long as possible. Again- if anyone asked you hadnât thought that youâd be better off joining her in the flames.Â
You squeezed her hand- about to let go as a final goodbye when you felt her squeeze back. A little screech shot from your mouth and you stood up to look at her face. Sure enough, her eyelids flickered back and forth and her chest rose with new intensity due to fighting with the smoke.
âSheâs alive! Shit help me!â You grabbed her arm that was opposite to you and rolled her onto the ground. You sat down and pulled her head onto your lap as Misty tried to rid the flames, still attacking Van's pants.Â
âHey, Van come on pleaseâ You begged as your hands held onto either side of her head, forgetting the deep wounds in the adrenaline rush.Â
âR-really?â she croaked out âfire?â
You couldnât tell if the sound you let out was a laugh or a cry but whatever it was it was short-lived as her breathing slowed and muscles relaxed in your arms. "Shit, shit, don't pass out you asshole- wake up!" you shook her- desperately trying to wake her up again. âDude seriously- If you donât wake up right now I will never watch another shitty movie rec from you so help me god!â You slapped her across the face (again- if anyone askedâŚ) But when you got no reaction you decided to change tactics, âMisty! Go back to camp and get help! Iâll carry her as far as I can but I canât do it alone.â You ordered, not moving your eyes from Van.Â
âBut she probably-âÂ
âMisty I honestly donât fucking care what youâre going to say. Just do it.â Your tone left no room for argument.Â
~
It was an honest to god miracle that you were able to get Van back to camp- and even more so that she survived.Â
You wouldnât leave her side- even when she would beg so you wouldnât be disgusted by her wounds. To which you always replied in a hushed whisper that you had kissed her before she brushed her teeth and if that hadnât scared you away nothing would.Â
It had been a few weeks since it all happened. Her face was less swollen and the redness had gone down considerably. But her spirit was still just as hurt. You could see the pain circling around her- refusing to leave her the same as you.Â
When Jackie had suggested Doomscoming you hadnât missed Van quietly storming out of the cabin. Before going through a plane crash, starving, and a wolf attack it already wasnât likely to see Van Palmer attend a dance.
But you knew how much she needed this. How much you all needed this.Â
When everyone split up to make their costumes for the dance you thought up a plan- a gesture so romantic it would give her no other choice but go with you.Â
You used stuff you could find around the wilderness and some fabric left from ripped-up and repurposed clothes to craft a mask. Van had an odd love-hate relationship with The Phantom of the Opera so you did your best to match the mask from the movie.Â
~
âHeyâŚâ You had found Van sitting against a tree. Staring at the dirt near her feet. Van was an open book when it came to body language, never good at masking her emotions. She had her arms wrapping around her legs- pulling her knees to her chest- hiding from the world.
She barely gave you a nod as you sat down next to her.Â
âI have a question I wanted to ask you.â you gently slid your hand over one of her arms, pulling it to rest in your lap.Â
She let you lace your fingers between hers and you used your other hand to place the mask on her knees under her chin. âI wanted to mask you to doomscomingâÂ
You could hear her trying to fight the chuckle that came out. âOh, my god.â She threw her head back and let out a hearty laugh. Losing her resolve of staying in a shitty mood.Â
âSoâŚ. what do you think? Wanna be my date.âÂ
She finally looked you in the eyes. You could see her thinking about all the awful things it could bring up, the awful things that could happen. âIâll wear white and be your Christine⌠We can live out our toxic hetero-normative dreamâ You nudged her shoulder as you spoke.Â
âI- I donât know.âÂ
"Come on Van! You're too hot to be this depressed." she cracked a smile again, rolling her eyes. You knew you have broke her.
âOkay- yeah. But only if you sing the music of the night with me.â
âDeal.â You put your hand out with a pinky up.Â
âDeal.â She wrapped her pinky around yours and you both sealed it with a kiss.
The fact I wrote so much straight fanfic is amazing bc now I canât imagine touching a man without feeling like Iâm being skinned alive

Pretty In Pink || Misty Quigley
For the lovely and talented @peach-and-bugs sometimes we all need a story to escape into.
-and guys I haven't written fanfic since like 2019- please be kind lol! I wanted to have this done tonight so I actually wrote this during a 4 hour car ride (Also Blane is the love interest from Pretty in Pink and Molly Ringwald is the actress)
Characters: Misty Quigley (pre-crash) x Reader,
Word count: 2118
Sophomore year of high school you knew two things about Misty Quigley.
She was incredibly misunderstood and
She was in desperate need of a friend.
