There’s still so little we know about this character but it cannot be denied that his dynamic with Kat (Barbie Ferriera’s character) is nothing short of magical. How could anyone not be in love with his dorky sarcasm,down to earth persona,puppy dog heart eyes,& his ability to wear his heart on his sleeve? Best of all instead of being a fake nice guy he’s proven through his actions & words that he’s a truly genuine soul who cares deeply for Kat as a person.

A lot of credit goes to the actors Austin & Barbie for creating such chemistry between them even with limited screen time that you get invested in what happens as the story develops on screen.

I truly hope we see Ethan’s background next season to deconstruct the knight in shining armor persona that has inadvertently been constructed with his character in the first season. More importantly I hope that Ethan is seen as a reminder that for anyone who’s seen themselves reflected in Kat’s story that despite their insecurities,flaws,or past that they are still worthy of love & that it is possible to find someone in this world who will love you for all that you are.
