Minnie in the Mirror 🌊 ft. Minsung
{{ I am so sorry I took forever but I actually really love Minsung in threads and wanted to answer this one for a while now. Thank goodness for days off!}}
Continued from here, for @minsungmp
The way Heather gives him the flatest of looks at the reply could break world records for how over it he was. That look soon fades off into an amused one as he listens to the other who continues talking about the various things he had heard about mirrors from pop culture and archaic fairy tales.
“Portals…bro..wha–” he thinks on his brief encounters with some deities here and how he had seen Hekate slide from their world and right into a hand mirror. Okay, okay fair- man has a point on that one. Still Heather’s amusement only seems to grow as he keeps listening to the things Minsung rambles about. Ah, he knows that particular fairy tale well. “You mean Snow Whit–”
His answer is cut off at first with Minsung’s further example being Samara from The Ring and then by his own laughter. Oh my god! The laughter that burbles up from him is almost musical, that siren song soft in it’s undertones as he tries to calm himself. Minsung is someone who was unintentionally funny to Heather and it’s why he enjoyed whenever he encountered him- even if now and again he made him slightly exasperated with his literal answers. “Wait, wait!”
Heather takes a few more seconds to simmer down his laughing about the situation before he replies, “Good old Samara who fell down the well. It was mostly rhetorical, trust me. I more meant, if they have nothing going on, do you suppose the parallel worlds that maybe those portals lead to leak out? Or maybe people get deja vu because alternate selves are walking around splitting the fabric of our memories?”
There’s a pause and then Heather is again burbling with laughter. He’s not entirely serious but the questions he just posed will come back to make him think later tonight- so for now he just laughs. “I’m kidding.”
Then he adds, “Unless you got an answer.”
Minsung’s brows furrowed in confusion, trying to make out why the other laughed so hard. “Hey are you alright? You look like you’re about to die,” his voice came out a little bit nonchalant, while his elbow nudged Heather’s lightly. Then he chose to ignore his laughter as clearly, Minsung has other important things he has to think about. It’s starting to piss him off how he couldn’t remember the original name for Sandals--yeah, that’s what he decided to dub her for the moment until he remembers her name.
He’s not sure if there’s something wrong with his ears too. Heather’s laughter sounded like a dolphin getting stuck in between two revolving doors but of course, he decided to keep shut until the male stopped laughing. Sighing in relief as the other stopped laughing and didn’t end up dying on top of that.
“Samara?” he said in disbelief, though his thoughts are completely blank right now. Heather might be right, he never really watched the horror movie he thought about anyway so he wouldn’t know. “Samara? Really? Why does her name sound so nice and friendly, I thought she would kill people or something,” he hummed as a response, pursing his lips as part of him remembered that looks are sometimes fake.
At this point of the conversation, Minsung totally lost on what Heather is trying to say. So when the man started to talk about parallel worlds and such, Minsung stopped trying to understand. Which is clearly written on his face as Minsung was never the one who’s able to fake his facial expression anyway.
“I don’t understand what you’re trying to say but let’s pretend I do,” he grinned, as an apology for not understanding Heather’s question. He gave him an additional pat on the shoulder, hoping it’s enough of a compensation. “Anyway let’s talk about a less scary thing like lady Samantha, chicken is delicious.”
