I latched onto Fahrenheit as my go-to Mecha Texaid longfic when it was just starting out and I made the sketch almost a year ago haha (never give up you may finish a piece on a whim and then binge read the inspiration again in a nostalgic frenzy) I love these toxic idiots and I think about Ambulon being forced to listen to A.P.T. every single time it pops up on my main playlist

It was fun to see how all the thoughts were represented and how Ricochet influenced the headspace. Both toddler Bluestreak and young Jazz were adorable!!
Iâm a huge fan of this Prowl using his People Skillsâąïž to interact with small humans. Prowl has one (1) set of People Skillsâąïž, but why would he develop more if they work in every situation????
Iâm still in awe of all the metaphors/similes/media references/callbacks to previous chapters. It makes rereads even more exciting! I also loved how the references and flashbacks to a lot of the Portal AU things that were outside White Outâs scope.
Also. DRYER JAZZ MY BELOVED. Heâs so cute heâs just a little guy!!! Heâs just a little stuck! Jazz get your butt out of there! Itâs dangerous!
But aghhhhhh the details of memories repeating are amazing, especially the memory Jazz is hiding in. Itâs simultaneously wholesome and sad when you think about it. His family and friends are frozen in a cozy game of hide and seek where the seeker never truly finishes the countdown. Schrödingerâs happy family. But no, that Schrödingerâs Cat thought has LAYERSâ If no one ever opens Jazzâs box (dryer) then:
Jazz (the real grown Jazz) is both alive and functionally dead to his friends and enemies
He can temporarily live in a headspace where his family in the memory are alive
Itâs possible that one of his old friends wasnât confirmed dead and may have also hidden like they unintentionally practiced here (but weâll never know)
A previous chapter described Jazz as a âfat happy leopardâ (thatâs way too far back to make a Schrödingerâs cat connection but I want to bring it up because it was great)
Prowl helping Jazz out of the box brings him back to reality (Iâm so normal about that btw) and establishes the facts so they can move on (aaaaa)

White Out is well over 20,000 words of âtime to vibe check the spy man againâ and itâs a phenomenal experience. Iâm very glad he and Prowl get cuddles at the end, they deserve it.
