"A lot of characters in Three Houses are shaped by the system; Edelgard is one of the few who is actively trying to destroy and replace it. That makes her interesting immediately, but what really holds my attention is the tension between her conviction and her damage. She isnāt a clean symbol of revolution, and she isnāt just a tragic victim lashing out either. Sheās intensely focused, emotionally guarded, often ruthless, and very clearly carrying a level of fear and isolation that affects every choice she makes. I think thatās why she inspires such strong reactions. She isnāt easy to flatten into hero or villain. She feels like someone whose ideals matter to her enough that sheās willing to become frightening in pursuit of them, and whether you agree with her or not, that gives her real weight as a character."
"edelgard is just sooooo good as a character. like even putting route stuff aside for a second, she has such a strong presence every time sheās on screen. she feels smart and deliberate and like sheās always thinking three steps ahead, but she never feels robotic to me. thereās always this sense that she cares very deeply and is just holding it super tightly under control. and honestly i think thatās a big part of why people get so attached to her. sheās powerful, but sheās also lonely in a way that really comes through. plus i just like characters who know what they want and actually move the story instead of waiting for it to happen to them. sheās memorable for a reason"
"yes king skip class!! yes king avoid effort whenever possible!! yes king be annoyingly smarter than everybody around you while acting like youād rather be asleep!! heās just SO fun. and i love that underneath all the laziness and bitchiness there actually is a lot of care there, heās just allergic to expressing it in a normal way. incredible character. perfect nap gremlin. would let him infodump at me for hours"
"linhardt is just extremely my type of fire emblem character honestly. i love characters who seem kind of checked out at first and then you realise theyāre actually paying attention to way more than they let on. heās funny, heās dry, heās kind of rude in a way i find very charming, and i like that he doesnāt pretend to care about things he doesnāt care about. also i think he has a really nice balance where he can be comic relief a lot of the time but never feels shallow because of it. heās just enjoyable. every time heās in a support i know iām probably going to have a good time"
