not late at all, tysm for joining! 💗 for our double date i went with you + sukuna and me + toji 🫶🏼
The bouncer lifts the rope and you step forward with Sukuna’s large hand at the base of your spine. Walking down the narrow hall, bass thumps stronger and stronger in your chest. Streaks of blue and purple light fill the open space of the club as you peer around for your friends.
“Over there.” Sukuna leans down to speak next to your ear, pointing to a roped off area near the back wall. “The cheap bastard actually paid for a private section.”
You chuckle, hardly believing it either, but you just head in the direction of your friends with Sukuna’s hand snaked securely around your waist. As you approach it becomes obvious to you that the drinks have already begun to flow.
Her eyes find you over Toji’s shoulder, but it takes a few seconds to register who you are. Her voice is loud, and not just to be heard over the deafening music, it’s boisterous and animated in a way only alcohol can bring out of her.
“Anya!” She cranes her head away from Toji, who’s still kissing her neck. “Toji got a bonus at work and sprung for a VIP section. Isn’t he the sweetest?”
“Very sweet, Jess!” You shout back at her as another rope is lifted for you and Sukuna to join your friends. She successfully separates from Toji to get up and greet you and Sukuna, giving you a giant hug and then staring up at him until he gives her a reluctant pat on the head. She turns back to you in time to hear you say, “Happy birthday!”
Toji follows after her and greets you and Sukuna before they move to the short round table and set up a line of shots. They pass you both one and you make a toast.
“To Jess! Kanpai!”
The liquor burns going down your throat, but she’s already pressing another into your hand and asking if you want to go dance. Of course you agree.
“Yay!” She takes your hand and turns to the men sitting on the leather sofa. “Toji, we’re gonna go dance.”
“Stay where I can see you, yeah?” he warns as Sukuna passes him a small bag of white powder. “We’ll be right behind you.”
“Kaaayyy!”
The alcohol has you buzzing among the sea of bodies, and you both take to the rhythm of the music like fish to water. Hips moving freely from side to side with hands reaching higher and higher.
“You look soooo good!” she tells you, scooting closer and taking your hands.
“Thanks! So do you.” You lift her hand and twirl her under your arm. “No wonder Toji couldn’t keep his hands off you.”
It doesn’t take long for a pair of hands to take possessive hold of your body. Releasing her hand, you watch as she also falls into familiar arms.
Dancing is a tame description for the way your ass grinds into Sukuna’s groin. But he’s not complaining with how his arms roam your body and his teeth scrape against the shell of your ear. Toji’s no better as he has her arms around his neck and a thick thigh between her legs, dress riding up impossibly high.
All four bodies are caught in the tide. Riding the wave of good music and good friends.
Zodyl and I are going to host a dinner party just for you. It's your birthday, and the birthday person shouldn't have to host her own party. Do expect to bring an empty stomach. We will have Hors d'oeuvres. We will have a two-course meal after, plus dessert (your choice).
You're very thoughtful, and I will choose the drabble, because I'm curious how this night will go. Brb will share a song about this event <3

You’re putting the finishing touches on the hors d’oeuvres while Zodyl frosts the carrot cake, both sporting matching expressions of concentration.
“Do you think they’ll appreciate the carrot to raisin ratio?”
“I’m sure they will, Zo.” You absently answer him as you wipe at the edge of the serving plate with a dishcloth. Satisfied, you stand straight and undo your apron. “Finished? It’s almost time for them to arrive.”
Zodly hums. You walk over to him as he completes the last icing drawn carrot. Placing a hand on his back, you thank him for a job well done with a kiss to his cheek.
The doorbell rings.
You hurry over to the front door while Zodyl grabs the flower bouquet wrapped in a pretty bow. But you don’t open it until you give yourself one final look in the hallway mirror and fix Zodyl’s collar. Only then do you open the door to your home and welcome your guests.
“Happy birthday!”
You wrap her in a big, warm hug and feel her arms do the same. Choso, her boyfriend, awkwardly extends his arm past you for Zodyl to shake. However, he can’t escape a hug from you and graciously accepts it.
“Thank you for hosting us,” she says.
“Happy to do it,” you honestly respond.
Zodyl steps forward, handing her the bouquet. “Yes, it’s our pleasure. Happy birthday.”
“Oh, these are lovely. Thank you.” She brings them to her nose, inhaling with a smile. “Aren’t they beautiful, Cho?”
“They are,” he agrees. A strand of hair falls in front of his face as he leans closer to take a whiff. “Smell nice, too.”
“Come in. Please, make yourselves at home.” You usher the two of them further inside your home as Zodyl closes the door behind them. “Zodyl can take your jackets and you can follow me into the dining room for some hors d’oeuvres.”
Dinner goes by without a hitch. Everyone’s bellies are warm with delicious food and drink. Although there is still cake chilling in the fridge for when it’s time to sing Happy Birthday. But for now everyone’s content to chat and sip on their cocktails.
“I wonder what they’re talking about?” she asks, glancing over to the window where the men are nursing their drinks and talking in hushed voices. Dinner conversation made them more comfortable around each other, thankfully.
“I’m sure I heard blood mentioned a few times.”
“Oh, gosh.” She fingers the rim of her wine glass nervously. “When Choso starts talking about work it’s hard to get him to stop. I hope Zodyl doesn’t mind.”
“He’s a research phlebotomist, right?” You ask, and she nods her head in agreement. “Zodyl’s in research, too. So I’m sure he’s got just as much to say as Choso.”
You both share a laugh and get back to your own chatting.
When it’s time for the cake, the lights are dimmed and the room is bathed in candlelight. The stress of preparing the dinner party fades away at the sight of her surrounded by loved ones as she blows out the candles.
She and Choso share a sweet kiss. You turn away, giving them privacy as he whispers sweet words to her, only to end up in the arms of your lover.
“She appears to have had a good time.” He kisses your temple. “Well done.”
“Thank you, Zodyl.” Wrapping your arms around him, you bury your face in his chest. “Love you.”
