Pre-sale has ended

When we officially kicked off with our Minute launch party at January 30 (already more than three months ago now!) we never anticipated the overwhelming response we got for our bike.

We’ve had people from all over Europe pre-ordering their unique limited edition Minute and soon the compact city bikes will be driving around the cities of Denmark, Germany, United Kingdom, France, Spain, Poland, Switzerland, Estonia, Belgium and The Netherlands.

Numerous international blogs wrote enthusiastically about us, along with newspapers from The Netherlands, Germany and Denmark. And our small commuter has been been featured on dozens of online magazines, including bright.nl, designboom.com,cyclelove.net, highsnobiety.com and last but not least our friends at anothersomething.org.

We are excited to tell you that from now on, Minute has a new website at www.minute.bike. This is going to be the home of our brand, were we will continue to move forward and surprise. We are just warming up!

Unboxing party: May 16 in Utrecht

In January we presented a new kind of bicycle, and have since been working day and night to make sure the first 100 Minutes are as small and strong as promised. Now they are ready to rule the streets of our cities. It's truly time for the next step in cycling evolution. If you have reserved your limited edition Minute, it will be waiting for you at our unboxing party on May 16. (Pssst.. there are some numbers left)

Finishing touches / Unboxing day

As we mentioned in our last update we had started the production of our frames. We are excited to inform you that everything is going as planned and we have been working long days to make sure every component gets here on time, and dimensions and strength of the frames are pitch perfect. A 100 Minute frames are now awaiting their finishing touches and we are looking forward to seeing them as assembled in the coming weeks. We are well on schedule so be sure to keep an eye on our Facebook and Twitter for more updates. Our trip to Spin London has been a wonderful experience. We had the pleasure of meeting with Adam Greenfield who will be using the Minute in his project on urban mobility and we are looking forward to hear about his findings and are proud to contribute to his ongoing work on making cities truly smarter.

Our limited online pre-sale will be open until May 15th. All pre-ordered Minutes ship with a beautiful black leather Brooks saddle and there are some numbers left to choose from.

Pre-ordered bikes ahead of schedule

We promised to be working around the clock to have our first bikes ready by the end of May. And we promised a Minute is a really agile, fast bike. Now that's all still true, but better yet, we're really excited to inform you that all pre-ordered bikes will be ready to go in the first week of May! Indeed, a few weeks ahead of schedule. (who still does that these days?)

In the next week we'll be gearing up for our unboxing party, but we can already tell you that it's gonna be fun and spontaneous and we look forward seeing so many Minute riders together.

Minute has been received above expectations

We would like to keep you updated on what we are doing here at Minute Cycles, as we have only just launched and already are extremely busy working on lots of different - but all equally exciting - things.

The pre-sale is steadily going towards the first 100 bikes, so grab your own unique number while it’s still available. We are very pleased with people from all over the world showing interest in the Minute and this made us decide to ship the bike to all European countries. Production schedule remains as planned, and the first Minutes will be ready before the end of May. Everyone who pre-ordered a bike will be invited to our festive unboxing party. If you can't make it, we will personally deliver the bike to your doorstep if you live in The Netherlands (or ship it otherwise).

We’re overwhelmed and grateful for all the attention we receive abroad. From Berlin to Hong Kong and from Barcelona to London we receive questions from bicycle lovers and design stores. At first we intended to sell bikes in the Netherlands only for the pre-sale phase, but people all over Europe started pre-ordering the bike, leaving us pleasantly surprised. We don’t like to disappoint, so we decided to ship Minutes to all European countries. Shipping rates will be between € 20 - 50, shipping outside of Europe is too expensive for now. In the future we hope to be able to ship to an even larger range of countries!
