neil and andrew treat kevin like poopen farten when it comes to his trauma, calling him a coward with a liquid spine. but i think that's because they're both protectors who act for the safety of the people they care about. they see kevin leaving jean—someone he deeply cares for—in the nest and believe he did so by choice rather than by fear. they view his inaction as cowardice. because kevin's response to trauma is self-preservation & compliance, they don't offer him any grace and see him as spineless. "obedience is better than sacrifice"

Andrew’s Mind Notes:

- Andrew’s mindland is designed after a prison. There is barbed wire everywhere near his memories, a broken picket fence lining the building, an American flag from Cass’s house, there are 13 windows on the front of the prison, a balcony/roof area, a broken street light Andrew hit when Tilda died, and the car he crashed is semi buried next to the prison

- somewhere near the prison is a soiled and broken bed with a bare stained mattress and broken frame (I did my best to write ‘please’ in the scrambled word code on the bed frame)

- the inside of the prison is actually well organized with cells and thick doors in place of the rooms to his memories. Everything is semi labeled. The doors with the worst of his memories have creaky bedroom doors with no locks or door handles so they occasionally swing open at the slightest movement

- the place smells like cigarettes and the memories are extremely vivid

- Andrew keeps a specific area of the prison dedicated to Neil memories. The area is organized with picture frames of Neil from different angles. It’s well kept and clean and very few doors have locks. It is the only area of the prison with colored doors and walls

- the entrance of the prison has a living room with multiple old couches and bean bags surrounding a box TV that plays static until a random memory connects to the channel briefly before becoming static again (a representation of Andrew’s memories becoming intrusive sometimes)(the scene depicted is of Aaron the day Andrew lost him)

- everyone mistakes it for Andrew

I said this in another post, but it bears repeating:

Neil is to crime what Andrew is to Exy. Supernaturally talented and unstoppable if he wanted, but due to his general lack of interest nerfs himself.

Everyone should be grateful Neil finds crime boring and uninteresting compared to Exy cause he would have been the Kevin Day of crime, surpassing his father and mother. Nora confirmed in the EC that if the Moriyamas had messed with Andrew, Neil would have carefully and competently dismantled their empire and watched all of them burn. He was practically lab created and stress tested his whole life to fight, outlive, and outsmart criminal masterminds.

My headcannon is Ichirou is secretly relieved that Nathaniel just wants to play stick ball.

Aaron the believer, Neil the skeptic, Andrew the main cameraman. Kevin does research probably. There's vague ideas for everyone else but mostly I laugh about Dan and Matt being the editors bc they make the funniest edits
