Howdy! A pinned post for us is long overdue.

We're the Mirage system, and we're a quoigenic and mixed origin system of 400+ members. If you're speaking to us and don't know who's front, call us Mirage and use They/Them pronouns. We're introject and fictive heavy, alongside many of us being alterhuman in various ways. Our vessel is an adult, neurodivergent, and the majority of us are queer in some way.

WE SUPPORT ALL GOOD FAITH IDENTITIES!

On this blog (even though we won't post often) we're going to post things relating to our systemhood, general life experiences, or other things, whether that be writing, rambling, art, or just shitposts. Our posts will start by stating who's writing it in brackets, but it'll mostly be Neon, our current host.

New hyperfixation: the series Haunted Hotel!

We've watched it through three times within three days and had the entire main cast plus Heather introject into our system. With this newfound hyperfixation, I've assembled a list of various things about Abaddon and demons I noticed during my second watch through. Here's a few of my favorites:

Abaddon seems to have an affinity for fruit and fruit flavored things

Abaddon has a mother-in-law, implying he either was or is married

In hell, dating is a term for choking someone with a prune, possibly alluding to how a prune looks similar to the fruit of the date palm tree

Abaddon is either colorblind, or doesn't understand color/words that describe color

Abaddon has stated that he doesn't sleep, but then has also said that he hasn't slept in 100 years despite being on Earth for 300, so he might actually sleep, albeit rarely

One more fun fact, in the section of episode 4 when Abaddon tells Katherine about why he's trapped on earth, the text on the top of the screen says 'Le troisième œil d'Abaddon,' which translates to english as 'The third eye of Abaddon.' My assumption is that it's describing that we are seeing in his mind's eye as he tells the story, which I think is real nifty :]

Swimdraconic is a gender that relates to how it feels to be a draconic being while swimming. It can relate to the feeling of water on one's scales, how the action of swimming feels in one's draconic body, or any other variation of experiencing being in the water while being draconic, be it in a calm pond or strong currents in the ocean.

Flightdraconic is a gender that relates to how it feels to be a draconic being while flying. It can relate to the feeling of the wind on one's scales, how the action of flying feels in one's draconic body, or any other variation of experiencing flight while being draconic, be it fluttering around in a meadow or straining against the winds of a storm.

[Neon speaking] I need to invest in some gear that mimics talons and tails, possibly wings... Having something for my phantom shifts to inhabit (for lack of a better word) physically would help with quite a bit of this whole no clipping feeling, and hopefully dysphoria. I had a strong werewolf shift yesterday and it was KILLING me having my claws clip into things. It's this discomfort that we also have similarly when things aren't 'even' as our brain dictates, like stepping on a specific color or shape or size of flooring the same amount of times on each foot. [Neon speaking] Made a graph of our headmate count inspired by this one by @/interstellarsystem :] It's kinda comical how insane our headmate count went after we became aware of plurality in general and then realized that we are as well. There could've been a lot more of us before that, but we didn't know plurality was a known thing, and thought we were just insane, so we didn't document things as thoroughly as we do nowadays. We've been experiencing plural things since we were very little but our memory is sadly quite poor. Fun to have this graph though!

So! We've been desperately searching for more information about the experience of xeno origins, and sadly haven't been able to find much. The tags about it yielded coining posts (no shade to that!) and syscourse. We're actually questioning whether xeno origin labels would be something we might like to use for some headmates, thus why we're searching.

Unsure if this will reach anyone BUT,

[Neon speaking] Some various thoughts and rambling about how much I like to catalog things about our system and my experience being front

I've started the painstaking process of cataloging/moving information about our 400+ member system from where we've been keeping it since our awakening (discord), to plain files and folders on our computer, and good god this is going to take a WHILE.

I'm having to remind myself that the template for information on each person doesn't HAVE to be filled out all the way, because sometimes specific details just don't exist ^^' but I do love having completed lists...

Related, I had the idea of making a form/survey that new headmates could fill out with basic information they know about themselves as a possible grounding activity, and partially because I like having things to put in their profile and not having to bug them later or when they're fronting. I'm the host and front like. 98% of the time, so when someone else does actually front our brain is VERY determined to keep me fully awake the entire time, as much as I wish I could go to sleep for a bit like most of the others do when not fronting. It usually leads to dysphoria and confusion for the others fronting when my train of thought is treated as a priority and just does not stop. I've considered that I may need to invest some time into in system communication and facilitating even small short switches to get our brain used to others being awake and talking again, because a few years ago we switched far more and felt more comfortable doing it. It was a much more stressful time for us so I suspect thats why, but we still miss it.
