Hi Nausicaa fancomic people all like 4 of you, I’m coming out of hiatus and resuming production, I restructured some work stuff so the comic pipeline becomes a lot easier, ik ppl have sorta had the impression that I’m a one man team but I’m actually not, I have 5 lore fact checkers, 3 writers a whole ass linguist to transcribe the Dorok language ( pretty cool right ) and a comic format artist and a backup concept artist, I think we’re gna start heading into the community building stage because the rough draft of the script is done, so like makin official accs and like promo etc because like the reason we had to take a break was because of lack of support, and when ur putting in the hours that me and my team is, having little to no backing can b a lil soul crushing.

Background character costumes complete- Dorok edition.

Me and my co producer went through the nausicaa manga and recorded every instance of unique Dorok attire for adaptation in our fancomic. We’re leaving the background props, costumes, and vehicles rough, because they don’t need the same level of refinement as important characters, so these are finished sheets.

The only designs that we had to come up with on our own was the scientist apparel, they’re never actually seen in the manga, only talked about, since Dorok’s technology and sciences are the most advanced we gave them more eloquent designs to stress their importance to Dorok.

We were able to triangulate exact regions on commoner attire using Dorok refugee pictures from the manga. The commoner attire has female variants because those are the only Dorok clothing that are inherently gendered, a female warrior monk for example would not look any different from a male one, the only thing that would change is body type, so it’s not worth me drawing separate mannequins if the clothing doesn’t change.

Nausicaä's Nightmare

This piece is based on a fic scenario in my head and 1 song which I came to assosiate w it. I can probably write an explanation post if anyone asks for it. Enjoy the angst for now

Alright I've been slacking off for a few days, now I'm back

@kushanahime firstly, this is one of the 2 songs this piece is inspired by (sorry I couldn't upload the second one). Secondly, I'm thinking of writing a story which elvolves around Nausicaa struggling to cope with her memories and post-war life. She has PTSD like symptoms and suffers from visions and nightmares. Nausicaä also misses everyone she used to know during the course of the story in the manga, but is estranged from all of those people, except for Chikuku and maybe Charuka. The fear to lose the rest of people that she knows and who are important to her torments her that's where the image comes from

Dorok air monitors patrolling the cloud tops

I noticed a severe deficiency in Dorok air monitor fan art so I decided to try my hand at one if these illustrious sky behemoths. I was primarily inspired by Charuka’s air monitor (love the tower), but took bits and pieces from practically every appearance by them in the Nausicaä manga.
