Cat's name is Nuodėgulys ("burnt wood") and yes he is a real cat 🐈‍⬛ He is now responsible for protecting free press in Lithuania 👏⚠️🔥

President Gitanas Nausėda has branded the fur flying in parliament a “hybrid attack” against Lithuania.

"Lithuanian lawmakers voted to allow a cat to have a say (or maybe a meow) on whether the head of the national broadcaster can be dismissed.

Very wrong. The cat is pro democracy and fighting for free press and free speech 👏🐈‍⬛🖤

What the article didn't specify was that the cat got voted in because the ruling party who tried to censure the press... went out to have a quick drink 🍻 They could very easily scrap the whole process with the cat in it, but they don't because they still want to take full control of public broadcaster by any possible means.

Also the president is in full support of censuring free press and got caught. His official nickname is now "Mr. Spineless 🪱" as he still hasn't addressed the mass protests.
