Castigatorii competitiei Romanian CSR Awards

Competitia Romanian CSR Awards, care si-a propus sa aduca in prim-planul opiniei publice si sa puna in valoare proiectele, produsele si campaniile de CSR implementate in 2012 de companiile din Romania, si-a desemnat castigatorii.

Astfel, din randul companiilor cu mai putin de 500 de angajati, MOL Romania a fost declarat castigator la categoria Mediu pentru programul de granturi "Spatii Verzi", Mira Telecom a castigat primul loc la categoria Educatie pentru "Mira Telecom Programming the Future", iar Avon Cosmetics Romania la categoria Sanatate pentru "Programul National de Depistare Precoce a Cancerului la San".

MIRA TELECOM and RFI România, partners at the International Book Exhibition from Paris

MIRA TELECOM will partner RFI România at the International Book Exhibition from Paris, where Romania is guest of honor. The 33rd edition of the event will be held between 22nd – 25th of March 2013 and will gather 27 Romanian contemporary writers, who will exhibit their works written in Romanian language or translated in French language. RFI journalists will broadcast special shows, reportages and interviews, from the studio located in the National Book Center (CNL) stand, set up by the Romanian Cultural Institute. The radio broadcast will include debates and interviews with writers such as Matei Vișniec and Ana Blandiana, historian Lucian Boia, the Ambassador of France to Romania Philippe Gustin and the Ambassador of Romania to France Bogdan Mazuru. see full article about Mira Telecom & RFI

#International Book Exhibition from Paris mira telecom rfi

MIRA TELECOM is getting involved in cultural international events. The company will sponsor the participation of the radio station RFI Romania to the International Book Exhibition from Paris, which will be held between March 22nd – 25th 2013. RFI Romania will broadcast during those days, information about the event, straight from the exhibition pavilion from Porte de Versailles, Paris.

Romania will be guest of honor at the 33rd edition of the International Book Exhibition from Paris. The status of guest country confirms the upward position of Romania on the international literary market. Another guest of honor will be the city of Barcelona. Romania’s international stand is organized by the Romanian Cultural Institute and within the stand, literary works written in Romanian or translated in French, by 27 writers- esseists, graphical novel writers, play writers, poets and novelists- from Romania and from the Republic of Moldavia, as well as Romanian writers who live abroad, will be exhibited.

ABSOLUTE is a large project that gathers 16 partners from 7 countries (France, Germany, Italy, Great Britain, Australia, Slovenia and Romania). MIRA TELECOM is the only partner from Romania and the component within the project, performed by the company, benefits from European financing worth 244,500 Euro. Among the partners, there are industrial companies, universities, small and medium enterprises, regulation institutions, network and satellite operators and end users. The project ABSOLUTE was launched following the studies which showed that in the aftermath of a natural disaster, a calamity or an unexpected event, the telecommunication infrastructure plays a key role in the casualty rescue operations. In most cases the inherited land infrastructure is seriously damaged and cannot guarantee reliable services for the citizens and for the rescue teams.

The company was rewarded for the construction of the Research- Development Center from Joita (Giurgiu County), within the 9th edition of the Gala, organized by the „Mobile Communication" magazine, with the support of the Romanian Academy, on December 5th, at the Romanian Academy Library, from Bucharest.

In the first part of the event, open with a press release sent by the Minister of Communication and Information Society, Dan Nica, the over 450 IT&C professionals and decision makers, gathered in the Romanian Academy Hall, debated the possibility to create an Advisory Council of the Romanian digital industry, 15 years from the mobile communication industry beginning in Romania. Representatives of the main mobile communication services providers held presentation on up to date themes.

Persoanele îngropate sub dărâmături sau cele surprinse de avalanşe vor avea şanse mai mari de a fi găsite la timp şi salvate de echipele de intervenţie cu ajutorul unui aparat portabil, denumit RescueCell, care va fi realizat de specialişti din România şi alte cinci state europene.

Cei care lucrează la realizarea acestui aparat au pornit de la faptul că, la nivel mondial, există numeroase soluţii pentru detectarea oamenilor blocaţi în diverse împrejurări, însă acestea sunt costisitoare şi necesită un timp îndelungat până la găsirea supravieţuitorilor.

“Problema majoră cu care se confrunta tehnologia existentă pentru căutare şi salvare constă în faptul că probabilitatea de a recupera victime încă în viaţă este extrem de scăzută, având în vedere că rata de supravieţuire scade până la 19% după 72 de ore, în urma deshidratării şi/sau hipotermiei, şi se reduce până la 34% după 19 minute, în cazul persoanelor îngropate de avalanşe, ca urmare a sufocării”, au declarat, pentru Epoch Times, reprezentanţii firmei Mira Telecom, care se ocupă de acest proiect.

Proiectul “RescueCell”, care include opt parteneri din Spania, Ungaria, Germania, Franţa, Grecia şi România, este finanţat de UE prin „Al 7-lea Program Cadru pentru Cercetare ” cu 1,1 milioane de euro, valoarea sa totală fiind de 1,4 milioane de euro.

Mira Telecom finalized a new security project, dedicated to rapid intervention in emergency situations, generated by calamities such as floods, fires, blasts, landslides or earthquakes. The company delivered a Mobile Command and Control Center (M.C.C.C.), which will be used by a county Ispectorate for Emergency Situations (ISU). This is the third project of this type, delivered in the past two years. The Mobile Command and Control Center is a central decision, command and interconnection point, among the resources involved in the mission. Compania a livrat un nou Centru Mobil de Comandă și Control (C.M.C.C.) care va fi utilizat de un Inspectorat pentru Situații de Urgență (ISU) județean. Este al treilea proiect de acest gen, realizat în ultimii doi ani. Centrul Mobil de Comandă și Control reprezintă un punct centralizat de decizie, comandă și intercooperare între resursele implicate în misiune, cu rol de asigurare și gestionare a comunicării între autoritățile locale și centrale, direct din zona calamitată.
