The new MLP movie was quite good. It’s mostly has the same kind of plot and theme I’ve seen from Gen 4 and other movies, but it does more than enough to stand out. One nitpick I do have is that some things felt more… rushed, to say the least, but as it’s a hour and a half long movie and not a fully fledged TV series, I can let it slide. Overall, it’s quite enjoyable, I’m perfectly satisfied with the new mane cast, and it’s a great start for Gen 5. I highly recommend it for both old and new fans!
Can’t believe it took me so long to post about this. I found these little guys in my backyard under the wood pile. Apparently the one of the feral cats I feed gave birth to a litter of four kittens and choose to keep them close to where the food was.
She trusted me enough to be near them while feeding them (and to let me pet her from time to time). Of course, I couldn’t just let them all be out in the cold like this, so I had planned to get them and the mother indoors until I could find homes for them. Buuuuuut by the time I had everything I needed to get started, she had moved them elsewhere. So, I thought that was the end of it. UNTIL ALMOST TWO MONTHS LATER
I found one of them. Kept an eye on him for sometime, but never saw the mama around him nor have I seen her for awhile. So I took ‘em in. At first, he just sulked in the corner of his cage while growling and hissing at me, but not even a day had passed when I was cleaning out his cage (with one had because I had to hold him) and had put him in my lap for what meant to be just for a second, he suddenly calmed down and just lay there contently. A week later, it’s gotten to the point where the little sweetheart roams my basement freely without making any messes and is always happy to see me and even more so to let me pick him up and carry him for awhile. Heck, he’s even using a litter box. No one around was looking for a kitten, and I already have four cats, so I’ve found a non-kill shelter (I checked) that will take him until he can be adopted. Also, his name is now Dusty.
This is the current state of my yard after the worst part of a thunderstorm hit… I hate life…
Getting vaccinated soon.
For the longest time I was hesitant to get the shots. Not because I hate needles or am an anti-vaxxer, but in the back of my mind I was always worried that someone would need it more then me, who has no wife or kids or even an important job. But not only did I eventually realize not only was that a really stupid reason, but with me being protected against it would reduce the chance of me spreading it to other people.
Besides, getting it once was bad enough…
Last art of 2020!
It’s not new though. Sombra’s from a piece from November while I made Good King Sombra more recently to reflect him.
Merry Christmas to all!
What a year, eh?

Oh right I drew a Mirror Sombra a couple of days ago too
Soooooo, I have this cat that’s been hanging around for about a year. You may remember him from an earlier post, I’ve called him Mojo, front paws were declawed, no where else to go. But I already have three cats, one of which is very territorial, and I’ve been unable to found a home for him.
So I made him one.
He approved of it. And he’d better because it took a lot more time and effort than I’d care to admit.
@mirror-sombra liked for a Wheel of Names randomized starter!
❝ Whoa! ❞ The teenage alicorn gave a small flap of her wings, not expecting to see somepony step out of a dusty old mirror her parents had hidden away. Flurry, being nosy as usually, couldn’t help but poke around and uncover the ancient artifact, but her bright blue eyes blinked as she grinned. “I wasn’t expecting anypony to come out of that mirror! Hi there!”
Sombra must have done something wrong with the spell, as rather than Celestia’s home, he ended up coming out of a rather unclean mirror in what he could only assume was a castle or palace. It must’ve been years since anypony set foot in the place, but at least he had a friendly face to welcome him to wherever he ended up. “Well, hello yourself, young lady.” He replied with a smile, waving his hoof in front of his face in a attempt to disperse the dust floating around him. “I seem to have taken a wrong turn somewhere between dimensions, would you mind telling me where I am?”
((Alright my net’s mostly back to normal, so I’ll be on tomorrow morning once my computer is done with it’s long arse update. In the meantime, here’s a picture a trio of baby raccoons I found in my yard last month))
((I live in the central US where there was a major storm that caused a blackout for around 34,000 people. Fortunately I still got power but barely any internet at all, sooooo I’m not gonna be making any big comeback anytime soon. If anyone whose still in the dark manages to read this, hang in there. I’m praying for ya. As well as everyone else 2020 been a b!tch to))
❝ You could say that… ❞ The white stallion lightly chuckled as he looked around. “I thought I was in The Crystal Empire but now I’m in Canterlot…? I’m a bit confused. I wasn’t expecting that mirror to take me across the land, but… everything seems off? I can’t put my hoof on it.”
“Ah... gracious, there was another mirror? And it was there of all places...” If it was around when his counterpart was still there... ugh, the thought of him being the one to stumble upon it was... unsettling to say the least. “Well, yes, you are in Equestria... just not...”
The grey stallion paused for a moment before motioning toward his tower’s door. “It’s difficult to explain. Perhaps you should come inside.”
@mirror-sombra liked for a short starter / topaz
Through poking around, Topaz was surprised to find something akin to a magic mirror lying in the middle of nowhere. He had read of these type of artifacts while studying under his mentor, and even seeing his mentor use them as a way of transporting from place to place. He blinked, testing the mirror’s surface with his hoof, but instead went through it. He bit his lip, fully stepping into the mirror and glancing around at his new surroundings. It looked like Equestria, but something felt off. He began to walk through the foliage as he kept his guard up.
❝ Hello? Is anypony else here? ❞
“...Hmm?” Sombra heard an unfamiliar voice he never heard before outside his tower while in his study on the ground floor. It was unusual for somepony who didn’t know he was here to be wandering around in his relatively tamed part of the Everfree. Setting down the book he was reading, he got up from his chair and went outside, being sure to shut the door behind him. Following the sound of foliage rustling, he found another stallion, who vaguely reminded him of a certain somepony but had no trace of dark aura around him, wandering around his garden.
“Hello there. I have not seen you around here before... Are you lost?”

So. The Sonic Movie.
I saw it last night. It was pretty fine. The plot felt kind of rushed in some places, particularly the beginning, and some the actors weren’t that great, but overall I found it enjoyable. I loved the various easter eggs that referenced the Sonic Fanchise, and found myself laughing at some of the jokes (I don’t laugh a lot even when I find something funny, so that in itself is worth mentioning). And good lord, I loved Jim Carry’s portrayal of Robotnick there was never a dull moment when he was on screen.
So yeah. It’s worth seeing.
((This was a decent movie that many grumpy critics are giving unnecessary flak for because it’s outperforming a movie they reviewed positively, so why not reblog this here?
Need to be more active anywho.))
