Cadance chuckled taking a sip of her tea. It was a lovely day one of those with warm sunshine and cool breezes. As usual children’s laughter echoed through the crystal castle. Her next meeting wasn’t for a while, and it was nice to just relax with another mother for once.

“I know what you mean, Flurry’’s grown so much, I’m just thankful she has yet to outgrow our bedtime routine. I can’t imagine not singing with her every night.” It felt like only yesterday her little one had walked up and down the castle halls in a cardboard guard uniform, ready to protect her Mama from any ‘baddies’ she happened to find. Her ears pricked up as she set the teacup down. “Flurry Heart, I said no flying inside the castle. Go outside if you need to stretch your wings please.” She laughed, as blur that looked distinctly like her daughter ran off to the balcony, tossing out an apology on her way out. “How are your children, Pearl? Is Lapis feeling any better?”

    Rainbow was doing one of her regular visits to the Acres, an excuse to get outta the house and be with one of her friends, even if it did include a little bit of work here and there... It was worth it to hang out with AJ, she at least made it a LITTLE entertaining. Their plans were interrupted as a storm rolled in, prompting sudden shelter by a tree. It wasn’t perfect cover, but it was much better than just standing out in the rain... That, and AJ looked nice with the raindrops in her mane, but that wasn’t important now.

     It felt like it was raining FOREVER, but it was finally starting to calm, and here and there the brightness of the sun would peek through... Rainbow was sitting there, bored out of her mind, and aside from casual glances at the mare next to her, there wasn’t much to do. So when AJ mentioned a rainbow, Rainbow got quite excited, and she eagerly looked around—

     ❝ OO— WHERE ??? ❞

     Rainbow looked around for a few moments, desperately looking for what her friend apparently saw... Only not to see it... Rainbow was completely confused for a moment, until it finally hit her.... Suddenly, the pegasus sat back down, showing her disappointment with a sigh.
