I trained a neural network on Naruto over the summer.

Doing server maintenance tonight. At the end of the night I should have 7 different computers all hooked up together. Only problem is I have no idea what I want to do with all this computing power. I essentially have a cheap AMD Threadripper at my disposal.

Maybe I'll keep banging my head against Fortran to try and get my neural network to actually function. I'm running into problems with how to store the neural network data. Fortran doesn't have dynamically sized arrays so I have to either put in a big high rank array or have a bunch of smaller arrays with less manageable code.

Gonna try and program a convolutional neural network with backpropagation in one night. I did the NN part with python and c++ over the summer but this time I think I'm gonna use Fortran because it's my favorite. We'll see if I get to implementing multi-processing across the computer network I built.

Okay so I got distracted with getting a GUI working on my arch install. For some reason this broke my internet connection though, except it's only for certain wifi networks and not others.

I wrote a small program for numerical integration over arbitrary k-cells in R^n.

I'm very pleased with myself. You write the code parameterizing the k-cell in R^n and the program can tell you the volume of said k-cell! You can even code in a function to integrate over!

I would kill for a cute little latex command that let me write sets more efficiently… because I swear if I have to write “let X=\{x_1,x_2,\hdots,x_n\} be a basis…” ONE MORE TIME…
