Taking this to tumblr to rant cus I don’t want to do this on Twitter.

It’s been almost 2 years since I’ve been a Bai Lu fan and I have grown to love, adore and care for this girl. When people say hurtful things about her, part of me gets hurt too. I’ve seen her grow so much in her career these past 2 years.

All that aside, I really can’t stand fans who directs hate at the actor or actress because of other fans’ action. With this new project, Bai Lu got a lot of hate but there was nothing that she did wrong, but yet the fans still directed the hate towards her. It’s so frustrating because the two actors (BL & LYX) are obviously good friends, but despite this, their fans still can’t behave and be civil. Why can’t everyone just get along?

It’s frustrating, really. I love my girl and honestly she deserves so much more. I can’t wait until this new drama drops, then fans would have to shut their mouth when witness her skills.

It’s hard to imagine Bai Lu as a fragile and soft character. All of her characters so far are strong and powerful like the overbearing Demoness, Lu Zhao Yao. Bai Lu is a versatile actress so I have no doubt that she’ll do amazing. As for Ren Jialun, he definitely fits Zhousheng Chen’s character. I can see him as the meticulous, highly detailed science professor. They’re only shooting the modern part of the drama right now but I’m more excited for the ancient part since both actors look amazing in ancient costume.

I started reading “One Life One Incarnation: Lovely Bones”. It allows me to pass time while I’m waiting for the drama adaptation. Surprisingly I really enjoy it so far. I really like the way Zhousheng Chen is written as a meticulous and highly detailed-straight to the minute man. I just hope the adaptation retains most of the details from the novel.

My Unicorn Girl

Currently watching. I’m such a sucker for college sports dramas. Especially ones where the female cross dresses as a boy to join a male sports team. This drama gets me all giddy. No shame, I love all the corny aspects of this show. Darren Chen captivates me with his natural charm and humor. Such a lovable actor and definitely someone I look forward to in future projects.

A Murderous Affair in Horizon Tower

I finished this mystery & crime drama yesterday. It definitely took me by surprise and I didn’t think I’d enjoy it so much. The story is beautifully put together to unravel such a heart wrenching story. The cast did such a great job. Even Angelababy, who is notorious for her bad acting. What I enjoyed most was the character development of the young detective. She started off as an assistant detective who lacks confidence and is weak willed. As she and her senior detective slowly uncovers the story behind the victim’s murder, we see her grow into a stronger person who stands behind her beliefs. So many great themes from this story that had me challenging some of my own beliefs. Definitely a gem this year for any crime loving cdrama watchers.
