Hawkeye Trick Arrow Props-- Materials and Tips

So I’ve had a lot of questions about how I made my arrows recently. Unfortunately I did not document that process very well, so my in process shots are pretty useless. To be honest though, the majority of my building was trial and error with a very vague sense of plan. So below I’ll outline my materials and a few tips to help out my fellow Hawkeye fans. I hope this helps!

Pacific Rim Meetup at Taiyou Con

Hai-o, Taiyou Con-goers! Myself and a few others will be hosting a Pacific Rim fan/cosplay meetup at Taiyou Con. Time and day are subject to change, depending on what programming is finalized. (I have a few panels submitted myself, so this info's a bit pertinent to know before proceeding...)  We will be meeting up outside at the pool-area, near the doors that are just past the ground floor lobby area, space permitting. I know most meetups are held across the street on the field, but I figure this would be the easiest for people to find who haven't been to Taiyou before. Plus, the fandom's representation is still on the small side in Arizona. If there's more people than expected? Well, we may move after ten-fifteen minutes. You've been warned. When: Saturday, January 4th. Tentatively starting at 2p.m. Where: The area outside of the pool. Over the weekend, I had the absolute joy of meeting Kieron Gillen at Phoenix Comicon. For me, this was meeting John Barrowman.

I can’t even begin to express how wonderful everyone was about my Kid Loki costume, and how much I owe to ZAA Cosplay for taking this photo.

Because really, this photo makes me feel like I actually deserved the professional badge I wore around my neck this year.
