The wicker and wire hat Philip Treacy created for McQueen's collection appeared as an animal's open mouth omitting a brutal scream. The demonstration contrasted with full, glossy black, fox-fur sleeves, juxtaposing the slender body with soft, plush material. The impact was highly erotic - combining hints of pleasure and constraint, with an explicit and literal allusion to death.
