So we know somebody changing the game all the way in INDIANA!!!  CRAZY HUH?!?!?!  Misfit's own David Lopez ( @dn_lopez), who's one of our amazing communicators, goes to DePauw University in Indiana & man do we miss him!!!!! While he's been studying & working hard he's also started something pretty cool out there! Him & a couple of friends have started hosting gatherings on friday nights to watch Misfit NYC online!!!!! In a college that is well known for being a party school this is a HUGE game changer!!!!!  We're so hype for everything happening over there! Seriously leading this ministry & team has CHANGED THE GAME & OUR LIVES! WE LOVE OUR PASTORS!!!! We heard there might be a pretty amazing opener & MAYBE a special song, who knows!!!!! September 26th we have our annual Misfit Rap Society (@msftrpscty) production entitled "Something Has To Change", Oh you don't want to miss what they have in store for the night. This is one for the record books, GET HERE & DONT COME ALONE! Oh & Social Club (@socialxclub) will be in the building !

Guess what?!?!?!?! There's another bunch of college kids who long to see their campus transformed! Another one?!?!?!? NO WAY! THAT'LL DEFINITELY CHANGE THE GAME! The World Changerz Christian Club (@worldchangerz) is filled with some awesome young adults who dedicate their time to see their campus changed! Located at SUNY Old Westbury they've been crushing the game by hosting various events on their campus! Alex Castillo (@xelacastle), part of our awesome worship band MISFIT REPUBLIC (@misfitnycrepublic), is a leader on their team! They make their meeting interactive so guests can participate & easily feel included, host game nights & even host a prayer meeting on Thursdays during their campus' lunch hour! Serving on a campus that is actually predominantly atheist has been a challenge that they happily accepted! THEY ARE SERIOUSLY CHANGING THE GAME!!!!! It's funny how the theme for sermon series this month turned into a prophecy.  Last friday night was GAME CHANGING. Pastor Adam Durso gave such a groundbreaking word, and @prophiphop shut the house down with his set. Plus bringing a few surprise guest, you might know em', they go by the name of @andymineo & @lecrae //  The Holy Spirit really came down last friday night and moved incredibly, with all the leaders anointing those who felt called to change the game.  Also if you were saved last night or recently, we want you to follow @misfitconnect for info on what to do and how to get involved.  The word says we go from glory to glory, so next week we know the Holy Spirit is going to show up incredibly.  Come, but as always #DONTCOMEALONE

Plead The Fifth is a group of young adults from MISFIT NYC who decided they'd do something about their God given discomfort. Led by Misfit's own Rodney Fabian (@rodneynfabian), who lost his mother only 4 years ago, they have hosted benefit concerts at Webster Hall, gone out to clothe the homeless, designed apparel & are best known for their monthly prayer meetings in NYC parks! All in hopes of one day opening a building for orphaned & troubled youth! Striving to be living depictions of grace they've genuinely rooted their endeavors in prayer & faith, believing that this city will be known as the kindest city on the earth! NOW THATS CHANGING THE GAME!!!!!

A 17 year old evangelist who dances & communicates the word of God?  NO WAY?!?!?!?!?!?! Coming from a broken home Miranda Pacheco (@miralynn)  was angry at the things that were happening at home. If you know her now you'd know how crazy that sounds because of how joyous she is 24/7! Today Miranda is one of our awesome communicators &  leads @misfitstreets, our evangelism team here at misfit. Man can  she evangelize! Leading her schools christian club & talking about  jesus to her peers at lunch she's definitely putting in work! At 17 this definitely a GAME CHANGER! College students who are focused on more than just essays? THAT'S A GAME CHANGER FOR SURE!!!! Intervarsity Christian Fellowship is a group of Young Adults, planted in St. John's University, who long to see students & faculty transformed, campuses renewed & world changers developed! Most college students are too preoccupied, for obvious reasons, to be worried about outreach! This is amazing that they would give their precious time to change lives! Lead by Ryan Diaz (@ryanbanner) who is a Campus Missionary at St. Johns University they have been really making an impact! Seriously stuff like this CHANGES THE GAME! A rapper who is also a clothing designer, barber & a teacher? WHERE THEY DO THAT AT?!?!?! Izzy (@nwageoutlw) grew up in a single parent household. Desiring to help his mother he developed an excellent work ethic. Originally doing spoken word he was encouraged by Pastor @chrisdurso to try rapping. Today he's one of our leaders in our hip-hop ministry @msftrpscty. It doesn't stop there, he's also one of @misfitbrand's lead designers & a great barber! Growing up fatherless he faced many trials but he overcame & CHANGED THE GAME!!!! Come to Misfit NYC this friday for our "BACK TO SCHOOL BASH! With Internship season fast approaching we just had to talk about how Greg is changing the game! Greg started coming to church in 2010, & with things at school not working out for him he decided to join our first ever Misfit Internship. Having a tough childhood, Greg was very hurt & bitter but little did he know that God would change things in him & even birth new gifts during this internship! Hewent from being broken inside & not being able to go back to CUNY to who he is today, a full time staff member at Christ Tabernacle, Internship Director, a student at Nyack College (about to receive his Bachelors Degree) & husband to the @misfitnycrepublic's amazing Libni! Here's a tough list of things to live with: 1.Grow up in Jamaica Queens with an abusive-alcoholic father. 2. Develop a lot of bitterness & rage. 3. Be surrounded by sex, drugs & street violence.  That doesn't sound like a recipe for greatness, does it? Joaquin proved that to be wrong & completely changed the game. At 22 years old Misfit's own Joaquin Pardo came from a lifestyle he thought he'd never leave. From fighting in the streets to now evangelizing in those same place, Joaquin is proof that life has some serious game changers in the works. Today he leads @msftrpscty & is one of MISFIT NYC's communicators, I bet the streets never planned for that. We love Joaquin & we love that he stepped up & changed the game!

Skaters who ride to help the less fortunate? That's a game changer! Skate 4 Jesus is a group of skaters who go around spreading God's love all throughout the world. They help the homeless population while grinding out dope tricks & fellowship with everyone living by their mantra "Do everything in love". Led by Misfit NYC's own Diana Rodriguez, who did something about her God given discomfort,  they host events like "Skate It Forward" where they help  the homeless get meals or even clothing! Once a month they serve at the bowery mission helping & loving whoever they can! AMAZING is an understatement! This group definitely changed  the skate game in NYC!

These two young men are seriously changing the game. Edgar who is 14 years old & Amari who is 16 years old  are two amazing guys who are part of our hip-hop team better known as @msftrpscty. These two kids are stepping  into their callings without fear & even have aspirations to be Pastors & fashion designers! If that's not changing the game,  we don't know what is! 14 year olds spitting 16's that entice  even the most seasoned hip-hop head, with dreams of leading ministries? That's a game changer!
