I won’t reveal the new blog until tomorrow as I want the new blog to have the same url as this one. I will also use the content I have on this blog to run a queue on the new one (A time saver for headcanons and such.)

He promptly slipped his hands into his armpits, rubbing them a little. Ah yes, this was good… The relief was immediate. And then the awkwardness started to set in. He must look like a darned fool right now. Letting his arms rest on the table, he leaned forward a little, listening. Good save, Tohru.

“Put me up to my job…? Yeah, you could say that. Man who adopted me, he used to be a psychic. Yeah, with everything you’re thinking of. But he started out working for the police later on in life. As a way to atone, I guess.”

“Inherited the good and the bad, I guess.”

“So you were basically inspired to follow him? Interesting.”

...What the fuck. That almost parallels Ichisada’s past! Well, the meeting Uncle part. But still! Holy shit! It would appear that these two have a lot more in common then Ichisada originally thought.

She was tempted say ‘Bitch me too, the fuck.’ But ultimately decided against it.

Tohru nodded, tapping his shoes on the ground and sitting down across from her. Shaking his head, he rubbed his hands togehter. Gosh, they had gotten quite red. He really was that cold, wasn’t he. And he honestly didn’t notice, huh… What a reckless boy.

“Haah… Whew, it’s starting to set in now. Believe me, I’m not too keen on doing that again anytime soon.”

Once he was able to relax, though, he found himself caught up by her story.

“Ahh… He must’ve been glad to have you as a successor. There’s a certain joy in being able to pass your talents on to a new generation.”

“Do this, it’ll help warm your hands up faster.” Ichisada crossed her arms, then placed each of her hands underneath her armpits. “Or you can put them between your thighs, your choice.”

“Yep, he sure was.” A pause. “What about you? Anybody put you up to your job?”

A new acquaintance of yours that nearly fucking died by sleeping on a bench in winter. Not only that, he works with the police on occasion. He also seems extremely dopey.

Although, you have befriended someone with similar traits and have gotten along well with them, who’s to say the same won’t happen here? You guess time will tell.

You’ll still be a tad weary of him because of his work though.

Tohru looked up upon entering the office building, blinking. It took him a few moments to adjust to the warm air and lights of the interior, but once he did he found himself taken aback.

“Ah, nice place. Whooh, warm…”

Imagine that. Warm. Funny. Was he really that used to the cold that he found this odd… surprising? He really was a reckless boy. ‘Dumbass who nearly died’ was an apt nickname.

“Yeah, I can imagine. A long time… Was this a family thing?”

“Yeah, this is a decent building.”

Ichisada kicked the snow off her boots and wiped the soles, then went to sit down at the nearest seat.

“My Uncle went to this school before me, had the same talent too. I ended up being like...his apprentice because I showed interest in alcohol, I guess I basically inherited his talent.”

💓- A memory about their friends

Prior to coming to Hopes Peak, Iris had practically no friends. She was acquainted with many sure, but she did not count small talk simply because the person just happened to be in the room and there wasn’t much to do.

Now that she has come to Hopes Peak, she has been blessed with many friendships, it’s quite hard to pick a memory, since she sees all the time she’s spent with her friends to be precious.

But the particular sight a blushing Vagabond, who gave her the gift of a crown on her birthday, is something that sticks out very intensely in her mind.

She was used to seeing him with a scowl and not so much as a acknowledging glance her way. He was extremely out of character that day, it was kind of refreshing. Not to mention being given a crown is quite the shocker.

If he wasn’t being tugged on, he would have tried to shake her hand. As awkward as that would be. But a Brewster, huh? If his understanding was anywhere accurate, that would surely explain her wonderfully charming level of chill.

“Ah, a brewster? Intriguing. If that’s what I’m thinking, then that’s quite a talent. Takes some serious skill.”

Sweet, she can put a name to the face now. So she doesn’t have to mentally call him ‘Dumbass that nearly died’ in her head.

Ichisada pulled Tohru into a building. It seemed to be some kind of office building that had a lobby with chairs and tables, judging by how many people were in the building, it seemed like other people had the same idea of warming up inside as the pair did.

“Mhm. Lots of memorizing for times, ingredients, combinations and shit. Not that bad when you’ve been doing it for a long time, like most things.”
