Fresh Faces, Fresh Bread | Katie & Evelyn
The scent of spring was in the air as Evelyn walked down the path. Spring was one of her favorite seasons, and even the dark clouds that seemed to be rolling in couldn't bring down her cheerful mood. Just that morning, she'd purchased a new fabric, and she herself was wearing one of her newest outfits. The bright pink of the shirt went well with the deep purple and black of her skirt, she thought.
Evelyn pushed open the door to the bakery, closing her eyes as the scent of freshly baked goods assaulted her. A customer at her store had told her about this place a while ago, siting that it had some of the best pastries they'd ever had. Naturally, Evelyn's curiosity was piqued, and she knew she had to check the place out.
She smiled cheerfully at the waitress she found inside. "A table for one, please!"
