Can you please do the following and email to me by 5 tomorrow:
You need to evaluate the transition from dance studio to theatre. You need to give clear examples of how you considered safe working practices when moving into the theatre, i.e. run rounds, positions of lights, consideration of space backstage, clearing runways, helping one another with pre-sets for both costume and props, helping with quick changes in the dressing room, corridor and backstage etc
What was your role within organising your own presets, costume fittings, providing your own costume items.
Discuss how you responded to directions from your directors in lighting plots, technical runs, dress rehearsals and performances, did you respond immediately to instruction and do you feel you carried them out positively and how do you respond well generally to feedback.
Discuss how you were able to organise your time effectively to include thorough warm-ups before performance and any backstage arrangements, preparation for shows i.e. sleeping patterns, eating and drinking, rest periods, behavioural patterns etc
To gain a distinction you basically need to evidence the following:
Learners achieving D4 will show a comprehensive grasp of performance conventions and etiquette andexercise considerable self-discipline throughout. They may actively arrange and coordinate warm-ups and preparation; effectively respond to, and perhaps anticipate, instructions from directors and stage-management; efficiently and unobtrusively observe health and safety, perhaps taking the lead in guiding others; effectively manage their own personal backstage space, equipment, props and costume; show sensitivity to the working demands and needs of others in the company, etc.
Can you please make your explanations as clear as possible and make reference to as many live situations as possible. Please make this evaluation at least 1000 words long. Remember that the work you produce is above beyond what is expected however you need to make sure that you are able to describe your experiences in a positive manner.
Thank you girls, email address
