Does anyone else think that Grace and Simon are both aroace and qpr but likes romantic bloodymary. Like aroace Grace is canon to me and if he met Simon they wouldn’t actually date. But when I see romantic Bloodymary it’s just fun to see and I really like it. But I don’t think they would be like that it’s just entertaining
I posted this way early in the fandom before it went from noticing the similarities between both their stories and their characters to people straight up wanting them to just kiss and fuck and be in a romantic relationship, sometimes while secretly shipping them romantically and slapping a qpr label onto it just so they don’t get attacked.
I genuinely used to like the romantic side of it, it was fun and silly and I didn’t really think they would do that but it was nice to see it sometimes. Too bad. The number of people who are just there to grab their poor faces and mash them together grew and grew into a sizable amount until it literally overtakes the meaningful interpretations and character studies. I see Bloodymary posts like Grace comforting Simon with Rocky aboard the Hail Mary, showing him plants, love, and a home. And the next photo is, Lo and behold, making out. What’s the next one? Rocky being a fucking wingman.
I’m so sorry to the people who in the beginning, complained that aroace grace was being tossed aside for the sake of shipping, and got yelled at for ruining fun and to just block the tag. Scary foreshadowing

There was a wildly accepted aroace interpretation, which NEVER HAPPENS btw, and Bloodymary. The cute space ship and aromantic people held hands and skipped to the moon.
WELL IT CAN BARELY COEXIST NOW, IF IT EVEN STILL DOES. Eventually, the yaoi pilled shippers who are so starved of content on the internet, kicked their acespec partners to the curb to absolutely flood everyone’s eyeballs with straight up men kissing, mass mischaracterization and complete lack of respect for what created the damn crackship in the first place. Bloodymary was something that could have been so meaningful, too bad you can’t comprehend the idea of a meaningful platonic relationship. To add to it, you stepped on the meaning of project hail Mary’s messages about connection.
