I have your back, always,” he replied softly as he pulled her in closer. “If it’ll make you happier, I’ll tell my boss what’s going on and spend the rest of the day at yours. “Julia was so lucky. The only decent lad in the whole town an’ ya ‘ave to go an’ be related to me.” Emilia laughed through her tears. “I don’t believe ya but whatever. If it means you’ll come home from work then I‘ll pretend I do. We can eat popcorn all day and watch movies.”
