There are days I search you out because I feel I need to be tortured, anything to feel something besides the emptiness left behind from the loss of my kids. The hole is so vast, I will never fill it. So, when it overwhelms me, feeling pain from anyone else seems to break the hollowness for a moment. I stop, I think, I must have done something so wrong to be where I am.

Not Everything Happens For A Reason

I find it insulting when someone says, "Everything happens for a reason", you might not know what it is but someday you will.

For me, it's a cop-out. Taking the easy road, or even worse kidnapping a conversation to make it about them, when someone else is having the difficult time.

A person doesn't know that what happened, happened for a reason. They simply don't know. Therefore, it trivializes and dismisses what trauma someone might be experiencing.

People need to stop saying it. BECAUSE, NOT everything happens for a reason. Sometimes shit just happens.
