Two years ago today, I started watching Kaiju No. 8 and nothing has been the same since but in the best way

This series means so much to me but I don’t feel like I can truly convey in words just how important it is

And of course more than the series itself, Kafka Hibino is so very important to me

Life has been a rough ride since the very beginning of last year and there have been a lot of hard days I wasn’t sure I could make it through but thanks to Kafka, I did

It may sound silly to say but he gives me the strength to keep going on the days I really don’t want to, he has taught me how to love myself for the first time in my life, and he has made me feel far less lonely

He is my best friend and I wish I could thank him for saving me the way he has

My obsession with this franchise is unhealthy for my wallet😆💸💖 but I don't think any anime has ever made me this happy. I’ve gone back to writing fanfics and participating in ship weeks and fandom (even after a bad experience in one lol)

The first thing that caught my attention was Kafka as the protagonist; I never imagined how much my life would change because of it. I even made friends through cosplaying from this franchise. Anyway, I love it💜 What a great day it was when I decided to watch it by chance with my partner.
