Help me find a certain song, please!

I’m only able to describe the music video.

The singer is in ragged clothes and is walking up these stairs on a mountain that leads up to a prison on top. The singer frees all the prisoners and the band continues to play on top of the mountain. It isn’t a black and a white video but it’s dark because it was filmed at night (?). It was shown on the show Fuse probably around 2008,2009. I think it was a rock song.
