“why jumpy?” she said, looking up with her as she blinked her eyes a few times. her dress was a long black dress, material covering her body till her knees and sheer lace showed the rest of her legs. placing a soft kiss on his cheek, she sighed. catty was happy that he at least came, but she knew he was afraid. “no need to be jumpy, i’m here.” she smiled softly and squeezed his hand.

Though Luke wished he could be reassured by her words, they really didn’t do much to help his nerves. “Catty, pretty much half the people here have been giving me death glares, and your mom probably still wants to behead me or something.” Luke squeezed her hand back, as he let out a sigh. “You look beautiful tonight.”

catherine could only sigh to herself, she could feel luke practically shake. 'ignore them. they don't matter. i know my uncle will love you for coming out here, you know. his wife even likes your music! i made her listen to a few songs. you know, the ones about me of course.' she said, giving him a sheepish smile. a soft blush appeared on her cheeks and she bit her lower lip, luke never failed to set her heart on fire. catherine-marie patiently waited for luke. she was a little hesitant on inviting him to her uncles wedding. not because she didn’t want to, but mostly because the wrath of victoria barely died down. she was still ‘missing’ to her mother. thought she was a bit glad her younger cousins enjoyed luke and some of them even listened to his music. biting her lower lip, she sighed in relief as she heard his voice ring into her ears, turning to look at him. a little smirk grew on her face as she saw him adorned in a suit & tie, “wonder how good you’ll look if i take it off…” she whispered to him and placed a hand on his thigh, resting her head on his shoulder as the royals of europe filed inside and found their seats, everyone waiting for the wedding to begin.

As Catty turned to face look, he was struck with how stunning she looked. It wasn’t often that Luke got to see Catty adorned in the clothing of her trade, and even if it did happen more often Luke was sure he would still be just as amazed. Chuckling at her reaction; he should’ve expected it. “Not right now, Princess, I’m already jumpy enough.” Though his voice was light and joking, his muscles were tense as he felt the judging stare of Catty’s older relatives. Taking the hand that was placed on his thigh, he entwined his fingers with Catty’s smaller ones. His leg was bouncing in a nervous habit as he waited for the procession to finally begin, hoping that would take the attention of of himself for at least a little while.

Luke shifted uncomfortably. He shouldn’t be here, he should’ve just waited until the next day when Catty came back home to camp. Tugging at his tie nervously, Luke felt like he stuck out like a sore thumb even though his suit matched the ones all of the other royal guests were wearing. The black pants, jacket, and shoes at least offered some comfort as it was so similar to what Luke usually wore.

Walking away from where he had frozen in front of the grand doors, Luke looked for Catty, feeling the piercing gaze of her family as he went. Gods, Luke knew that Catty’s mother didn’t like him, but he had been hoping that the rest of her family would be a little more welcoming. Finally seeing his absolutely stunning girlfriend farther towards the front of the rows of seats set up for her Uncle’s wedding, Luke smiled. “Hello, love.”
