also i in no way ever said men arent able to be oppressed/assaulted/harmed. i am transmasculine and have experienced all kinds of oppression, as well as physical, emotional, and sexual abuse. i am not dismissing the fact that this is real. i know even entirely non marginalised men experience this, and i know a lot of marginalised men such as trans men have to go through this. i didn't say otherwise at any point. i just said that oppression or marginalisation doesnt happen by being a man as men as a gender are an oppressive/privileged group. Black men arent beaten for being men, theyre beaten for being Black, for example. Black women, in a general sense, would be at more of a risk due to their womanhood and skin colour. trans people have a very similar thing.

Also, black men and black women *are* treated differently by their respective oppressions, so them both being oppressed doesn't make a black TMOC's oppression any less legitimate. Black men are painted as violent rapists who are a threat to white women and society as a whole, for example. Black women are painted as "welfare queens" who are lazy and leech off the government. You can't compare the oppression of black men and black women and just ignore that black men are treated differently based on their manhood. If they weren't, they'd be painted as "welfare kings" who also leech off the government, or black women would be painted as violent thugs who want to rape white men. But, they aren't. It's almost like gender plays a role in their oppressions...
