Find Me Faithful - original print from The Worship Project.
You know those times in life, when a day feels like it shifts from walking on a mountaintop to scouring through the valley of shadows? This has been a reality. So much change is on the brink right now. Iâm about to move countries, friendships changing, different pressures etc. This has been (and will continue to be) my prayer each morning. âOh Lord, that You would find me faithful to Your calling, to Your works, to You. Be near me as I stumble through life, unaware of whatâs around the corner. I lift my eyes, and my heart to You completely. Keep me ever on this path I pray.â

Passage of the Day: 1 Peter 4
(Passage Below)
"Christianity is free but it will cost you your life. No one ever changed the world by living safe." - Banning Liebscher of Jesus Culture
The past few weeks, I had the opportunity of learning about suffering. Yesterday, at my church, our pastor talked about how we think God is crazy. I often ask God if he is because, let's face it, we have absolutely no idea what He is thinking! We have no idea what He is doing, nor do we know what exactly is in store for us! Therefore, we ask - especially when we are faced with problems after problems after problems AFTER problems! Anyways, reading the passage below helped me understand why we suffer. On top of that, God exchanged His live for our sins. We have to know the cost of our lives! Jesus died for us. Our sins cost His life. We are made as examples for others who need to be awakened to see who God really is! We are believers, but it is time for us to be followers. We will face persecutions for being Christians. However, in my opinion, it is worth it. Everything I have is temporary. It will NOT go with me when I pass on. God is sufficient. God is enough for me.Â
I want more intimacy with Him, I want more hope in Him, and I want more of Him in my life.
Living for God 4 Therefore, since Christ suffered in his body, arm yourselves also with the same attitude, because whoever suffers in the body is done with sin. 2 As a result, they do not live the rest of their earthly lives for evil human desires, but rather for the will of God. 3 For you have spent enough time in the past doing what pagans choose to doâliving in debauchery, lust, drunkenness, orgies, carousing and detestable idolatry. 4 They are surprised that you do not join them in their reckless, wild living, and they heap abuse on you. 5 But they will have to give account to him who is ready to judge the living and the dead. 6 For this is the reason the gospel was preached even to those who are now dead, so that they might be judged according to human standards in regard to the body, but live according to God in regard to the spirit. 7 The end of all things is near. Therefore be alert and of sober mind so that you may pray. 8 Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. 9 Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. 10 Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithfulstewards of Godâs grace in its various forms. 11 If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praisedthrough Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen. Suffering for Being a Christian 12 Dear friends, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal that has come on you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. 13 But rejoiceinasmuch as you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed. 14 If you are insulted because of the name of Christ, you are blessed, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you. 15 If you suffer, it should not be as a murderer or thief or any other kind of criminal, or even as a meddler. 16 However, if you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but praise God that you bear that name. 17 For it is time for judgment to begin with Godâs household; and if it begins with us, what will the outcome be for those who do not obey the gospel of God? 18 And, âIf it is hard for the righteous to be saved, what will become of the ungodly and the sinner?â[a] 19 So then, those who suffer according to Godâs will should commit themselves to their faithful Creator and continue to do good.
The Book of Psalms
"Untutored, we tend to think that prayer is what good people do when they are doing their best. Inexperienced, we suppose that there must be an "insider" language that must be acquired before God takes us seriously in our prayer. There is not [an insider language]. Prayer is elemental, not advanced, language. It is a means by which our language becomes honest, true, and personal in response to God. It is the means by which we get everything in our lives out in the open before God." - Eugene Peterson Prayer leads to great awakenings đ
Truth
Psalm 119:1-8 MSG Youâre blessed when you stay on course, walking steadily on the road revealed by God . Youâre blessed when you follow his directions, doing your best to find him. Thatâs rightâyou donât go off on your own; you walk straight along the road he set. You, God , prescribed the right way to live; now you expect us to live it. Oh, that my steps might be steady, keeping to the course you set; Then Iâd never have any regrets in comparing my life with your counsel. I thank you for speaking straight from your heart; I learn the pattern of your righteous ways. Iâm going to do what you tell me to do; donât ever walk off and leave me. -- "Don't ever walk off and leave me." David knows the Lord isn't going to leave him, but David is pleading with God anyways. Why? Because David loves God so much that he needs to remind himself what it means if God isn't around. This is, as of right now, my favorite chapter in the Bible. God, I love you.
This entire week was beyond a learning period for me. I was slapped in the face about my goals and dreams. Is it okay to be vain and selfish? Arent we entitled to the riches and glories of our Father? Dont we deserve it? NO. I just realized that we arent. Who /are/ we? Were sinners. Because of the blood of Jesus, we are able to claim that Hes our Father - /and/ that is because of His love, mercy, and grace. So, were my goals and dreams vain and selfish? Entirely. I realized I never really listened to Him. Everything that I own /is/ His. Hes lending it to me - His blessings allowed me to use what He has. Because of His grace, He entrusted His valuable possessions to me. /Appreciate what you have, Felicia./ Will you still love Me if this is all youll get? This is the first time I really feel Jesus molding me. I want to be a woman after His own heart and I want to be a woman of God that will be able to represent who Jesus is. But am I doing it for Him or myself? And Im disappointed to say I cant answer that question 100%. Not because I know I wont say the right thing. Its because I want to say it is for Him, but I am not confident in my answer. I realized some of the dreams I have, this spirit of competitiveness, may not be from Him. Its /my/ flesh. I know Ive been stressing over the unnecessary and this is the time God planned to open my eyes. He is testing me so I can humble myself, to show that worldly desires are not everything, and that the flesh is such a powerful weapon the devil uses. Hes reminding me again during this period. Honestly, I have so much in my head I dont even know where to begin. However, I need to be still and listen. I need to understand to the best of my ability why I am in this predicament and how I will overcome it. I ask for patience, Jesus.
Thank you.
my heart is now yours Lord. I canât do this on my own anymore. Iâve made too many mistakes trying to just be here in this world. Itâs your plan, from now on.
