“That was impressive.”
@avengingspiderman / "You did good" prompts
Gwen couldn't help but grin as she finished stretching and began unlacing the ribbons of her pointe shoes " Thanks, years and years of practice.” It wasn’t often that the studio wasn’t busy but in moments like this it was nice to have Peter for company. She hadn’t been doing any serious practicing, just enough to feel loose and like she had at least accomplished something. “Thanks for coming by the way. I know it not the most exciting activity.”
‘You Did Good’ prompts
“Hey, [name]! That was some nice work out there.”
“You know, you really… reach people, when you try.”
“You did good. You know that, right?”
“That was impressive.”
“How did you figure that out?”
“You helped. That’s something to be proud of.”
“It’s okay. Hey, [name]. You’re okay, you did it.”
“It could have been a lot worse. Give yourself some credit.”
“I like you just like this, you know. You don’t have to be perfect.”
“Hey. We did everything we could.”
“They’re safe – hey! They’re safe. Let’s focus on you for a minute, okay?”
“Everyone’s been evacuated, you were the last out. Let’s get you checked out.”
“You’ve been helping all of them? Alone?”
“Sometimes you do your best work and things are still shitty. That’s just how it goes.”
“I’ve never seen you like that before.”
“You’re not psychic. You couldn’t have known.”
“I’m right here. You found me in time, I’m right here.”
“It’s over. Hey! It’s over. Everyone’s safe. You did that.”
“These people wouldn’t be alive if it weren’t for you.”
“I wouldn’t be alive if it weren’t for you.”
“Where did you learn to [fight/issue orders/do first aid/etc] like that?”
“There was nobody in the building, [name]. You got them all out.”

“Look I’m just saying, once you’ve spent your teenage years fighting costumed weirdos nothing can surprise you.”

An interesting question, it has MJ’s eyebrows raise as she looked towards Gwen with curiosity of her own. ❝ Well… Both, really ?? ❞ No sense in lying, Mary Jane chuckled a bit, shoulders shrugging as she spoke. ❝ I mean, it looks great on applications to ballet companies that I’m taking this seriously. But also I enjoy it enough to keep going, y’know ?? ❞
“ I guess I get it.” She reaped all the benefits that Midtown had to offer like an insane robotics team, equipment that actually worked, and so much more. Gwen really shouldn’t complain. “ Sometimes it just feels like a lot of pressure,” she admitted. “ You go to a specialized school and everyone expects you to be amazing at that one thing and its like what if I’m not as good at it as I thought I was or what if I want to branch out?”
phonestalked·:
“ or they’re faking it. ” he says with an air of nonchalance, watching her fumble with the ball before eventually catching it. but the next comment draws a laugh from the athlete, and he makes his way over before plucking the football easily from her hands with a small shrug. “ because it’s therapeutic in it’s own special kind of way. or you, you know, you’re just pushing yourself too hard and your brain is starting to starve for oxygen. ” index finger taps the side of his head, before he pulls away from with a smirk, trying his best not to get smacked by the other. body turns, running twenty yards down field before stopping and turning back around. “ you ready for another one ? ”
“ Fake it til you make it right?” she joked lightly before letting him take the ball. Maybe running was therapeutic, she even considered ballet to be therapeutic, but not football. There were people trying to tackle you the entire game which made her wonder how she had gotten roped into this game. “ Ready,” she called back, lifting her hands like he had shown her. Maybe football practice wasn’t the best place to hash out her feelings about her superhero boyfriend who nobody even knew was a superhero.

“ Do you ever think about how crazy this city actually is ?” Gwen asked with a soft hum. She didn’t know of any other cities that had an actual alien invasions, but even if you ignored that fact the city was still wild. “ I mean the things we consider normal would not fly in other cities.”
@monogramic / <3 sc
“ Do you actually like going to a performing arts school?” Gwen asked curiously. She had always loved ballet but she didn’t think she could commit herself to a school dedicated to the art. Instead she had decided on a science and technology school, but maybe that said something about not being able to do anything without committing all the way. “ Or is it one of those things you just do because you know that it’ll be helpful in the future?”
phonestalked·:
“ yeah, isn’t that, like, all of us though ? ” he asks, catching the football in his hands before running a circle around her just for kicks. the yearly powderpuff football game was almost here and he’d offered to help gwen out so she could at least understand the rules before being thrown face first into the game. “ i just hope you’re not as lost as you are with this whole thing. ” he smirks, tossing the football back towards. “ or else you’ve got a lot more problems than i originally thought. ”
She could easily stick her foot out and try to trip him, but knowing his athleticism he’d probably just jump over it. “ I don’t know, some people seemingly have it together.” And maybe on the outside so did she. “ I also don’t know how football suddenly led to some sort of existential crisis,” she admitted as she fumbled with the ball for a moment before finally gaining control over it. It wasn’t a graceful or pretty catch but it was still a catch.
