Studied Chaos Physics under Starline's guide using the Doctor's scheme's as a basis
After sometime Starline saw a "bright future" in Cold and offered him a position in a big project he had. Cold didn't know he would be working under Eggman
Once in the Empire -and unable to quit- Cold's skills were used in weaponry developing. The fox wasn't happy with it but he had no voice in it
His lack of loyalty was noticed, and he was put under the watch of Natalie Cross, a promising member of the Egg Army
After months of being under strict vigilance, Natalie finally opened up to Cold. She wasn't loyal either and, together, they could scheme a escape
During his final days on the Empire, Cold made sure to spearhead the development of his latest project: the Core Drive along with the Elemental Cores, a set of modified Emerald replicas
Finally, Cold was able to mod both his & Nate's implants, allowing them to disable the bombs, allowing them to escape and be free
Feeling responsible of his gadget's consequences, Cold finished the Core Drive with Tails' help and became the Freezing Raider to help the Resistance

Despite Natalie being his main romantic interest, he has a huge crush on Umbra (an OC made by another friend). However they both downplay it as being "rivalrous friends"

The Core System is a huge Kamen Rider reference
Cold's personality, specially his attitude, is inspired by Sento Kiryu, Kamen Rider Build
Cold's cold attitude with strangers -which gave him his nickname- is due to being shy. He becomes a bossy smartass once's he's confident
The white tips in his bangs are a result of his experiments with Chaos Energy
His Superform, "Cold Blizzard" is obtained by using the 7 Elemental Cores along with a Chaos Emerald. It gives him Ice Powers
In the future, he has a daughter with Natalie
In an Alternate future, Nate's death at the hands of infinite pushes him into despair, turning him into a dark superform, the Black Snow. Corrupted by despair he'd become a threat and eventually he'd be defeated by Rika, his own daughter
