Hello, my name is Maxwell Smith. I am an employee at Gardenview, hoping to get some information connections with the Toons!
I might need some help finding some, so it would be nice if some of the Toons talked to me. All I have is this computer, so it will have to do.
Lately, I've been seeing some weird guys, so maybe I'd need some help?

[You hear some loudass snoring before a yelp, and the shuffling of furniture before the door finally opens.]
"Right here!"
[The room has the lone working computer that the guy's been using, some snacks in a stash, a gun.. some other stuff. I'm not paid enough to narrate.]
"I, uh, didn't expect you to find me THAT easily, honestly." [He'd say sheepishly.]
”Are you fucking kidding? Feels like it took me a solid half hour, this floor alone.”
[Despite this, Hannah seems to be smiling.]
“Well… it’s good to finally see you face to face, after so long. What are you doing down here?”
"Eh, honestly, I just wanted to explore the place and find out some stuff about the anomaly.. haven't found out much, though."
[He'd pause, before walking over to the snack stash and handing one to Hannah.]
[..It's a chocolate bar.]
"Heh.. sorry it took you that long to get here."
“It’s fine, it’s fine.”
[Hannah takes the chocolate bar and closes the door behind her.]
“So… did company drag you into this too? Or was it like a personal thing?”
"It's personal, really. Why would a company send their own employee to find out about something that shouldn't have even happened in the first place?"
"Plus, I'm just a technician. They wouldn't have sent me down here if they knew I was unprepared and all."
"Well, what about you?"
”Got sent to deal with it. Or, at the very least keep it from spreading too much, y’know? That’s what the shotgun is for! And find a specific anomaly, since that one’s more of a danger to the toons than anything else.”
“Honestly, they say they’ll tell me what’s going on, but they never respond to my emails until a week passes. So I don’t really know too much about what’s going on. I know it’s against company policy, but… if I ever find anything else I could tell you! I won’t tell if you won’t.”
"Mm.. Fine. I'll tell you something."
"I saw this weird thing just-- come out of a vent. It was holding a gun, looked pretty damn dark... And told me to hide incase some thing with red eyes comes after me. Probably the anomaly."
"And then it just went back into the vent.. did you ever see that too?"
"...No? What? Huh?"
"I haven't... seen anything like that yet. You sure you saw what you saw?"
"Ehh.. pretty sure about it. The vent even fell, you sure that isn't real?"

"...Oh yeah, right! I think Joanne is hiding something related to Dandy. I told her that one of the toons told me that Dandy got in contact with too much of the stuff, and she was... kinda avoidant of the topic? It's weird, isn't it? She's usually an assertive person."
"Joanne? Avoidant?? Never thought I'd hear those two words together in my life, honestly."
"Aand.. yeah, heard about the Dandy thing. Only one of them's infected, though."
"But, uh, he's not THAT harmful, right..?"
"Whatever, I'm not taking any chances with it. Especially since Toodles is around... I just can't find him for the life of me."
"While we're here, might as well see if we can bring back anything of use to the surface. Maybe we might run into some anomalies? How long have you been cooped up in here?"
"Hm.. not that long. I'd say several days at best. I've mostly been thriving off the (somehow) unexpired food that people left, honestly."
"And uuhhh.. we'll probably encounter some guys, probably because I've already seen a few of them over here!"
”…You… you’re just practically living down here? Willingly? With no shower? And you’ve seen a few anomalies already?”
“Oh my god, Maxwell…”

"Not exactly living..? I'm, uh, going home after I get what I want."
[His ass doesn't know how to respond, and neither do I.]
”I- okay. I’ll just… here, how about I help you find what you want? Two people are better than one, y’know? It’ll go faster, and we both get to find some answers! Plus another shotgun!”

"Yeah!- Wait, what?"

"Iii'm gonna pretend you didn't just say that. Anyway, we should get going or something, if you don't want me to stink up your air."
[That last part was spoken with a hint of playfulness, for some reason. God, I hate this guy.]
"Fine, fine. Come on, let's get out of here. Tell me if you need help with doing something.
[Hannah opens the door for Maxwell.]
"Well.. I've heard of these machines that we need to complete, to progress to the next floor. Maybe we could go find some of them."
[He walked past Hannah, looking around for some pipes that could indicate where the machines were.]
"Machines, huh..."
[Hannah follows Maxwell for a little while, before she notices something.]
[She taps Maxwell on the shoulder.]
"Is that one of them?"
[He'd perk up before looking in the direction of wherever Hannah was looking.]
"Hm.. Yeah, it has the long pipe. Do you want me to try turning the wheel, or..?"
[He looked back at her, waiting for a response.]
"You... can do them. Have you done them before?"
"Oh."
"Riight." [He sheepishly walked over to the machine, twisting the wheel before a vibrating noise was heard.]
[A dark, inky substance started to flow from the pipe, ascending from a drip to a consistent fall.]
"Wow, it's a bit louder than I remember."
”Hey, isn’t that the stuff? What’s it doing down here?”
[Hannah kneels down to get a closer look at the machine.]
"Eh.. if it's incased, then it won't hurt us.. right?"
[He continued to turn the wheel, occasionally having to use more force to actually keep the substance going.]
"Plus, I don't know if that would help us, y'know.. find out whatever happened here, I guess."
”…Yeah. Yeah, you’re probably right. How many more of these until the next floor? I could probably help do some- seems simple enough.”
"I'd say, maybe, around 3 more? I remember seeing some other completed machines on this floor, actually. Maybe someone else was here."
”…Huh.”
[Hannah takes a quick look around the room. Not a soul in sight, save for the two.]
“Let me see if I can find more machines. If we both work together, then we should get these done pretty quick!”
"You got that right! Well, I guess you'l-"
[He's interrupted by the sound of incorrect buzzer .sfx, coming straight from the machine.]
[He MIGHT have gotten distracted, causing the flow to stop temporarily and possibly alerting any other entities.]

”…What does that mean?”
[Hannah looks out towards the rest of the floor. She starts to reach for her shotgun, just in case.]
"..You, uh, didn't see anyone on this floor, right?"
[Oh wow, he sounds nervous. Oh wow, the flow's back too. Quickly getting back to the machine, it soon filled up with a ding.]

"Plus, I'm just a technician. They wouldn't have sent me down here if they knew I was unprepared and all."

”Got sent to deal with it. Or, at the very least keep it from spreading too much, y’know? That’s what the shotgun is for! And find a specific anomaly, since that one’s more of a danger to the toons than anything else.”
“Honestly, they say they’ll tell me what’s going on, but they never respond to my emails until a week passes. So I don’t really know too much about what’s going on. I know it’s against company policy, but… if I ever find anything else I could tell you! I won’t tell if you won’t.”

[Hannah follows Maxwell for a little while, before she notices something.]
[She taps Maxwell on the shoulder.]
"Is that one of them?"
[He'd perk up before looking in the direction of wherever Hannah was looking.]
"Hm.. Yeah, it has the long pipe. Do you want me to try turning the wheel, or..?"
[He looked back at her, waiting for a response.]
"You... can do them. Have you done them before?"
"Oh."
"Riight." [He sheepishly walked over to the machine, twisting the wheel before a vibrating noise was heard.]
[A dark, inky substance started to flow from the pipe, ascending from a drip to a consistent fall.]
"Wow, it's a bit louder than I remember."

[You hear some loudass snoring before a yelp, and the shuffling of furniture before the door finally opens.]
"Right here!"
[The room has the lone working computer that the guy's been using, some snacks in a stash, a gun.. some other stuff. I'm not paid enough to narrate.]
"I, uh, didn't expect you to find me THAT easily, honestly." [He'd say sheepishly.]
”Are you fucking kidding? Feels like it took me a solid half hour, this floor alone.”
[Despite this, Hannah seems to be smiling.]
“Well… it’s good to finally see you face to face, after so long. What are you doing down here?”
"Eh, honestly, I just wanted to explore the place and find out some stuff about the anomaly.. haven't found out much, though."
[He'd pause, before walking over to the snack stash and handing one to Hannah.]
[..It's a chocolate bar.]
"Heh.. sorry it took you that long to get here."
“It’s fine, it’s fine.”
[Hannah takes the chocolate bar and closes the door behind her.]
“So… did company drag you into this too? Or was it like a personal thing?”
"It's personal, really. Why would a company send their own employee to find out about something that shouldn't have even happened in the first place?"
"Plus, I'm just a technician. They wouldn't have sent me down here if they knew I was unprepared and all."
"Well, what about you?"
”Got sent to deal with it. Or, at the very least keep it from spreading too much, y’know? That’s what the shotgun is for! And find a specific anomaly, since that one’s more of a danger to the toons than anything else.”
“Honestly, they say they’ll tell me what’s going on, but they never respond to my emails until a week passes. So I don’t really know too much about what’s going on. I know it’s against company policy, but… if I ever find anything else I could tell you! I won’t tell if you won’t.”

"I saw this weird thing just-- come out of a vent. It was holding a gun, looked pretty damn dark... And told me to hide incase some thing with red eyes comes after me. Probably the anomaly."
