In case you've never encountered one before, a hippocampus is a horse with a fish's tail, similar to that of a mermaid.

The very first time I encountered a hippocampus was on the Little Mermaid TV series, where Ariel befriends a dangerous hippocampus named Stormy. 🥹💖
