Talking with JK yesterday helped me realise that perhaps I should fully embrace my "school project" style in all that I do.  Admittedly, he would probably take a more design led approach but hey, that's art...everyone has an opinion : )

Elites aren't defined by birth or wealth, they are people with a project, individuals who want to do work they believe in, folks seeking to make an impact. Averaging down everything we do so that it becomes cheap and ubiquitous and palatable to all is a hollow goal.

1. Probably the most re-read book on my shelves.  My favourite bit from Page 40 ...

The most common excuse people give: "There's not enough time."   When you want something bad enough, you make the time - regardless of your other obligations.

1. Mrs Macklin made me these Valentine's cookies as I already had Mr Macklin's co-authored book "Finance or a Beermat"...

1. It's Valentine's Day.  

2. The whole series of "Human Feelings as Drugs" are now hanging in the office boardoom

3. I bought my own copy of  "Hope"  (new business and attitude to life)

4. Valerio really blew me away with the 'personal touch'

5. ...and inspired me to start a blog about the cool people I meet and the stuff that happens while I'm kicking off my new business ventures
