Yppah - Gumball Machine Weekend
Disappears - No Other ---
The last time we'd see Each other alone Each other at all
Disappears - Minor Patterns ---
I know no one agrees with me, but Disappears are the best modern post-punk band.
Steve Shelley of Sonic Youth was their drummer during this period.
Tyler Stout, movie poster Blade Runner from the Sci-Fi Series at the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema 2008. Austin, USA. Via Christie’s
Polvo - Taste of Your Mind --- Don't feel bad if you've never heard of Polvo -- most people sadly haven't. Polvo is like a lo-fi, primal version of Sonic Youth (sans Kim Gordon.)
And on a personal note, I've learned more about playing guitar from a Polvo album than I ever learned from a music teacher.
I haven't used Tumblr in over a month!
And surprisingly, gained like five new followers.
Incoming audio for your fresh ears!
The Heliocentrics - Vibration of the Fallen Angels ---
Listen to this if you like: Old school hip-hop. Good beats. Psychedelic rock. Drone music. Experimental music. Jazz, of course - and getting high.
eden ahbez - Full Moon (vinyl rip) --- You may recognize this from Fargo. ---
To live in an old shack by the sea And breathe the sweet salt air To live with the dawn and the dusk The new moon and the full moon The tides, the wind and the rain To surf and comb the beach And gather sea shells and drift wood And know the thrill of loneliness And lose all sense of time And be free
To hike over the island to the village And visit the marketplace And enjoy the music and the food and the people And do a little trading And see the great ships come and go And man, have me a ball
And in the evening When the sky is on fire Heaven and Earth become my great open cathedral Where all men are brothers Where all things are bound by law And crowned with love Poor, alone and happy I walk by the surf and make a fire on the beach And as darkness covers the face of the deep Lie down in the wild grass And dream the dream that the dreamers dream
I am the wind, the sea, the evening star I am everyone Anyone No one
The waves wash in, warm and salty, leaving your eyebrows white and the edge of your cheekbone. Your ear aches. You are lonely. On the underside of a satin leaf, hot with shade, a scorpion sleeps. And one Sunday I will be shot brushing my teeth. I am a native of this island.

The Unsettling Dreamlike Allegorical Collages of Tim Lukeman
late 50s, happily married later in life, generally optimistic (but with the occasional deeply dark mood), eager to explore all forms of artistic expression, published 3 fantasy novels as a young man (2 of which were horribly overwritten), introverted with a few close friends but much more out of my shell these days :)

Anatomy of genres #shoegaze
The Krautrock timeline should take WAY more than 3 minutes though.
I mostly don't agree with this, but I find it funny in a music nerd sort of way.
The one percent are literally rich beyond measure.
This is depressing...
Autolux - Sugarless ---
Impossible day I don't complain I'm over it, I guess Scattered and grey, so - I hold it back And keep it sugarless

we fall down but we get up
Awesome! Would make for a neato punk rock album cover.
