Some things I learned from Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo

There is no need to impress boys or chase after a love interest. If a person loves me, they will love me for who I am, treat me kindly and respect me! (and vice versa)

In reality it’s not all about love at first sight, no dramatic slow motion sequences. Get to know the person!!! Friendship is the best foundation of relationships.

Look for friends who will support you and cheer for you! (Not ones that suck up to you, but say crazy stuff behind your back *cough, cough* @ gymnasts…) 

It’s okay if we don’t succeed at first or if we aren’t the best! We’re doing all we can!!! There will be people who’ll say the worst things to us, but we shouldn’t let them bring us down. Listen to the people who say good and helpful things. 

If something is not yours, let it go! There’s no use holding onto broken glass it will only make you bleed.

 Learn when or how to get help!!! There will always be people who’ll be glad to help you! You’re not weak or inadequate if you ask for help! Don’t be scared to take a break and clear your mind! It’s okay to step back and just calm down.

Do the things you love. Even if you’re not the best, even if it’s difficult. If you love what you are doing and it makes you happy just do it. Just have fun and don’t rush.

첫사랑. First love. The reason why we think first love is beautiful is not because our first loves were actually handsome or pretty. It’s because we were unconditional, innocent, or a bit stupid at the time of our first love. And also because we know that we can never go back to that young, passionate time of our days. First love is a bit rash. without any calculation, we throw ourselves with passion and finally come to face failure but it’s at the same time dramatic. Sometimes dramas make you laugh, some make you cry, others make you rage, and a few bring you hope. MBC’s Wednesday-Thursday drama, “Angry Mom,” did all of this with its thoughtful and intense story about school violence and societal corruption. While there were many dark moments and scenes that made you despair, there was also a lot of hope and a lot of love. There was a mother’s love for her daughter, a teacher’s love for his students, a friend’s love for a friend, and a boy’s love for his first love. There were life lessons and adages, moving and relatable.

To celebrate this all too short drama, which just ended its 16-episode run, I want to share with you some of the most moving lines from the drama- the ones that can shed a light on a dark road or bring comfort and warmth on a cold night. There are only six below, but believe me, there are many more. If you’ve watched this drama already, I’m sure you’d agree with me. If you haven’t, please do, so you can enjoy them all.
